Advantages: Easy to use, Stylish, Straighten hair very quickly Disadvantages: Expensive, It is quite common for the fuse to blow - but they are under warranty
I love my straightners. They heat up within seconds and make a "beep" to advise you when they are at the correct temperature. In my opinion they are sleek and stylish and very easy to use. For first time GHD users the only advise I would give it do not hold the straighters in position for too long or it can case 'lines' to be left in the hair. Try and make the straighters glide through the hair. You can also get the straightners in various colours and styles, I own the plain black ones as you do have to pay an additional £20 for the patterned or pink ones. Personally, I don't find the 'styling' products made by GHD much different to high street brands. ...
Advantages: straightens small sections of hair Disadvantages: difficult to curl large sections of hair
I had these bought for me as a birthday present. i do own the larger ghd straightners and i find it difficult to curl my hair with the normal straighteners. However, in my opinion I think these are too thin and when i try to curl my hair they dont work very well. i use them for straightening small sections of hair but find them very difficult to use for curling larger sections of hair. i would not reccomend these to a friend. however one of my friends has used them to curl her hair and found it easier, she has thicker haor than me. also my male friend used them and bought mine off me. so moght depend on hair type- i have very shiny smooth hair so might be the reason. ...
Advantages: Great colour! Actually straighten the curliest of hair Disadvantages: Price
I'm a girl with seriously curly hair, and I mean seriously curly! The term taming always seems to be used when describing what should be done with my hair. No matter what products I tried to use they didn't seem to work- wither making my hair greasy and lank or doing absolutely nothing at all. Then about three years ago all my friends started getting GHD's, what the manufacturers term "a new religion for hair" and indeed it is.
However, they were retailing at around £119 a pair three years ago, and these were just way out of my price range, being but a mere 6th form girl! I tried buying other straighteners but these did not seem to give the same impressive results as the GHD's did to my friends. Then last September my boyfriend came to the rescue and bought me a lovely little pair of pink GHD's. They were ordered off the GHD website ...
