What is the GHD Thermal Protector? --------------------------------------------- The GHD Thermal Protector is a lightweight protection specially formulated for fine to normal hair. It is designed to protect the hair with ingredients which deflect and absorb the heat from styling products such as hair straightening irons. This spary protects your hair against temperatures of up to 400c.
GHD hair straighteners became so famous because they can heat up to 210 degress in less than 10 seconds, but as we all know the styling results may be amazing, but this amount of intense heat can be very damaging to your hair - This is where the GHD thermal protector spray comes in.

Personal Use ----------------- I usually straighten my hair with my GHD hair straighteners every 2 to 3 days. Over the last year I have become more aware of the damage I may be doing to my hair and so started to look for a way to protext it but still be able to style and straighten it. I came across the GHD Thermal Protector about 8 months ago and I have been using it ever since. I have only just had to buy a new bottle as I have never needed to use much. Initially I thought that £10 per bottle was quite expensive, but now I think it is pretty reasonable for the amount of use I have got out of it and the time it has lasted me. I think you will probably only need 2 bottles per year (obviously depending upon how often you need to use it, and how long or thick your hair is). Wet & Dry Hair ------------------ I have used the spray when styling both wet and dry hair. I probably use it on dry hair the most. For both I recommend holding the spray at just under arms length away from you and spray a light mist over your entire head of hair. one pump should do it. I usually then run a light comb through my hair to make sure it is evenly spread out and then go about styling it.
Conclusion ---------------- Since I began using the thermal protector spray I have found that all the claims on the bottle are true - Straight, smooth hold and a brilliant shine to my hair. Any although I would never have said it was tricky or difficult to straighten my hair in the past, my straighteners do just seem to glide over my hair now, and it is easier to style my hair.
While the bottles can be a bit on the expensive side, when you consider how little you need to use and how long a bottle lasts it makes it seem much more reasonably priced.
