Ghd Thermal Protector - protect your hair!
Advantages: Makes hair smoother, smells nice, protects! Disadvantages: Maybe a bit on the expensive side - but worth it!

Since I use my hair straighteners pretty much everyday, I think its important to use some kind of product in order to try to protect my hair from the heat of the straighteners since it can be really damaging to hair over time. I was not disappointed with this product in the slightest and am really glad I bought it.
This specific product claims to protect hair from heat from straighteners and hair appliances for temperatures up to 200'c, and it also protects hair from becoming weak.
The bottle is plastic and comes in a metallic bronze/gold colour . The bottle is triangular in shape. On the front of the bottle there is a mosaic type design which comes down from the top into the middle of the bottle which is nice and simplistic and is the only coloured spot on the bottle. Underneath that is written 'ghd' and then 'thermal protector for normal-fine hair'. The bottle has a removable plastic lid and then there is a spray top for easy application, but this can be removed by screwing it off, if so desired. I really like the funky triangular design.
Boots have just recently started selling ghd products on their website so they're getting more widely available. I found that before they were mostly sold in salons, so I have been stocking up on ghd products online from asos.com since it was too much hassle trying to remember which salons sell it!
The thermal protector is really easy to use as comes with a spray top, so you simply spray it on to either wet or dry hair, and then you can get on with using your hair straighteners. Since the bottle uses a spray top, the liquid comes out as a nice fine mist so that your hair gets a good even amount and means that you don't use too much.
I really like how the thermal protector made my hair feel, not only was it easy to use but it made my hair less frizzy, it also made it shinier and it made it feel slightly thicker. On top of all that it is protecting my hair. I have noticed that after using it my hair does feel nicer and not as dry, which was an effect of using my straighteners without using something to protect my hair.
The smell of the thermal protector is actually quite nice (which surprised me!) I thought it was going to smell slightly chemically but instead smells quite sweet and a little fruity, which I think is an added bonus as it makes your hair smell nice!
This product should last for ages, since it comes with a spray top you use so little every time you use it. I only use a few sprays on my hair at a time. Even though I use mine everyday, I got my bottle about 8 months ago and I still have over a quarter of a bottle left.
The cost of the thermal protector is £10 for a 150ml bottle.
The thermal protector is to be used up within 24 months of being opened.
I would recommend this product. I really felt like my hair was smoother and shinier, and it even felt slightly thicker! It also gives me piece of mind that I am actually doing something to protect my hair since I use my hair straighteners so much.

Using my GHD Straighteners everyday on my hair really does worry me about the damage I am causing to my hair, the last thing I would ever want is to end up with no hair because it had all fallen out. So it was suggested that I whenever I used my GHD's that I used a protector on my hair to protect it from any harmful damage that I may cause.
My stylist managed to convince me to try 'GHD thermal protector for normal-dry hair' and for me its main selling ... ...straightened but it states "The ghd Thermal Protector, with new Heat Reflection Technology, is a divine weapon against heat damage. It gives you maximum protection against heat appliances, up to 200°C to ensure that your beautiful strong hair always triumphs over heat damage". So I felt this was perfect for me because I have quite thin hair and I never need to have my straighteners on the highest settings to get the poker straightness.

The GHD brand first became known for its ceramic hair straightners, but its hair care products are also made to the same very high quality. I will be reviewing the thermal protector for norma/fine hair. It comes in a gold bottle, which is a triangular shape. and has a purple and gold pattern on the front og the bottle. The word GHD is printed under this pattern, and the product description is then printed in white lettering. The price and where to ... ...or online, either from the GHD website (www.ghdhair.com/uk) or from another website such as ebay. I bought mine online directly from GHD. It cost me £10 and arrived within a couple of days. Although this can seem a lot of money to pay for a thermal protector, i have found that it is well worth the money because it actually does give your hair some protection instead of just making it feel greasy. like some others do.

GHD Thermal Protector Spray for Normal Hair. I got this product when I purchased my new hair straightners and i was not dissappointed, when using hair straightners they cause so much damage so you have to go out of your way to protect and save it from split ends and drying out.
This product replaces the GHD Iron Oil and there are different sprays for all hair types from normal to thin hair. Ghd thermal protector is used to protect your hair from the heat damage caused by styling when using appliances such as a hair dryer or straightners. It can be used before, during and after styling.
It protects the hair from damage by locking its mositure and nutrients into the hair.
This particular pruduct I own is for normal- fine hair and consists of a light weight oil.

I am really impressed with this product. I have used a number of products for this purpose and this is the only one that I have used that does not make my hair look greasy.

I admit it. I brought the GHD pink thermalprotector spray because of the gorgeous pink bottle! I brought on impulse because it looked so good.
I've used the product a few times now and I like it. It doesn't just look good, it smells great and protects my hair, from constant straightening, well. The spray is light and easy to use. It doesn't weigh my hair down like some protection sprays and it leaves my hair feeling soft and looking healthy.
I do feel that the protector spray is expensive for what it does. There are lots of products on the market that could do the job just as well but cost less. It didn't have the wow factor I was expecting it to have. GHD hair products are some of the best on the market so I am surprised that this wasn't as outstanding.
