Advantages: protection from heat, leaves hair smooth and glossy, smells very nice. Disadvantages: using too much on your hair could leave it tangled, a bit expensive.

The first time I used the spray I believe I sprayed too much because it made my hair difficult to manage, as it started getting tangled and difficult ... ...couple of days or so! GHD do recommend using the spray protector (step 2) in combination with their own shampoos and conditioners but it is not necessary to use an all GHD hair treatment, for me this works with any shampoo and conditioner I'm using.
So if you do expose your hair to the heat of a blow dryer and straightener and if you do so on daily basis it is quite worth using a protector. you only need to use small amounts on your ... more

The first time I used the spray I believe I sprayed too much because it made my hair difficult to manage, as it started getting tangled and difficult to blow dry smoothly! However, I thought I should give it another go so the next time I washed my hair I sprayed a small amount on the top, and tried to concentrate more on the tips of m hair, which worked better.
When the right amount of spray is used on hair I think it does actually help, keeping hair smooth, glossy and prevents it from being damaged by too much heat, especially for people like me who expose their hair to heat on regular/daily basis!! The spray also smells great, not only does it protect my hair but it also leaves it smelling extra fresh and nice for a couple of days or so! GHD do recommend using the spray protector (step 2) in combination with their own shampoos and conditioners but it is not necessary to use an all GHD hair treatment, for me this works with any shampoo and conditioner I'm using.

As i straighten my hair quite a lot, I get quite a lot of split ends, so i decided to give this product a go. The Packaging
This item comes packaged in a very modern and funky triangular shaped plastic bottle. Its predominant colour is a shimmering gold. It has the easily recognisable GHD graffiti logo on the front and it states that this is the thermalprotector spray for weak and damaged hair. The lid lifts off revealing a spray mechanism.
Application
To use this product simply wash, condition and towel dry the hair. Then simply spray evenly all over the hair. You then just dry and straighten your hair in the usual way. appliances, lightly mist your hair (stay away from the roots because this is what makes your hair appear greasy!) concentrating on drier/more damaged areas such as the tips. Brush through and then style as normal. You can use this on damp hair and dry hair.
