Advantages Great sound, style and feel

Disadvantages Expensive

I found this to be a great guitar. I can say for sure that it does make you feel great playing it. To hear and feel the quality of a Gibson improves playing immesurably. The only thing is that they are expensive, so if you are considering buying one, you have to think is it worth it for you or would you be just as happy with, for example, a Les Paul Classic which is a lot cheaper.

The only problem i have had with mine is that the tuning head has come loose. The screw doesnt bite into the headstock when i turn it, i wouldnt have expected this from a Gibson but it was easily fixed. Apart from this i can't fault it

Though in the end, generally, you get what you pay for and Gibson guitars are some of the best money can buy, if you have enough.

Good to have a review of a Les Paul - well done! But this is such an iconic brand that a few historical details would have pepped up the review a great deal. Some suggestions: Who is Les Paul? Who made the design popular (Clapton/Green?) Who are the great exponents of the guitar? How the mis-wired early Series produced that unique "hollow sound". What woods are used? What pick-ups do you have, and how are they wired? Why did you pay SO MUCH for this model? Why did you pay SO MUCH for this particular model? and finally, Why did this model cost you SO MUCH? Sorry to be an anorak and I hope you derive a huge amount of pleasure from the guitar. I have an excellent Studio Series 1994 Les Paul, black with all the electric trimmings, and it cost £415 and has played enough gigs to pay for itself 40 times over. It's incredibly powerful - humbuckers on speed with DiMarzio icing!! Best wishes, Tom
