The 8I845PE-RZ is one of many Intel-based motherboards offered in Gigabyte's new RZ series. The RZ series line focuses on the features of reliability, real performance and right value (The Three R's) to provide a total package at an affordable price. Based on the Intel 845PE chipset, the 8I845PE-RZ is a superior Pentium 4 platform choice which includes 533FSB and Intel's high-performing Hyper-Threading technology. As well, a variety of features such as high-speed LAN, USB2.0, and 6-channel audio provide a wide range of connectivity from networking to peripherals to multimedia. As well, useful Gigabyte software features are also included. With the 8I845PE-RZ, users get a complete, easy-to-use package suited for both the home and office.

To unlock the processor that you would like to use from the list above, you would have to refer to the Gigabyte 7NNXP manual that lists the jumper settings and motherboard configuration required. In the motherboard this is clearly laid out in a table, and with pictures of the jumpers and how the pins are going to be located. This is really handy, especially as if you were to incorrectly use the jumpers, you could damage your processor and motherboard! Currently my CPU needs a FSB of 400 so I have set up the jumpers on the motherboard accordingly.

This Dual Bios motherboard designed to accept AMD/Duron/Athlon/XP processors,incorperates onboard sound,+4 USB,with DDR memorey and in innovative dual bios system.
Having myself tried and tested this motherboard for 6 months in two machines,I am totally convinced of is usefulness and it's place in the market.Providing a very stable board and up to date technology,it has the added benefit of a system that protects your bios against viruses,power fluctuations,incorrect bios upgrades and bios chip failure.
Its incorperated resources and features are good,and ample for a very respectable system.However there are a few factors to be considered when choosing a motherboard,and most of the conflicts and incompatibilty problems I have encountered are not documented...

Having used Gigabye Motherboards in the past and never had any trouble with them the wisest thing to do was to keep to Gigabyte.
We decided on the Gigabyte GA-945P-DS3 purely on the features it offered.
