...Hi there, i bought this board about a year and a half ago to replace my very old Gigabyte board. I got a good price as they were not the most all singing all dancing versions of an nForce 2 Ultra 400 board. what makes the AK79D-400VN such value for money is that is a mixture of good and bad points. if you are lookinfg for a board which will just be serving the core funtions like priovide fast connectivity for your disk, cpu and ram then this is the board for you, no bells and whistles or gold knobs in sight. The lack of a few key things such as SATA and fire wire drive the cost of this board down so does the lack of the soundstorm APU instead you are just provided a basic AC97 card onboard.
