This board is quite straight forward to assemble and comes with all the cables and screws you need. I ended up sending mine back as it couldn't detect the Serial ATA hard drive I connected. The shop tested it and confirmed that the m\b was faulty. While I had it, I noticed that even while idle it reported a cpu temp of 56 C which is a little on the warm side. While checking numerous forums on the internet in an effort to resolve my SATA problem I found other people reporting the same issues regarding SATA and temp. The m\b has a very user friendly way of flashing the Bios but because the board is so new I noticed that Gigabyte were bringing out a new version of bios almost every month which doesn't exactly inspire confidence in how well tested the product was before launch. One very helpful feature was that all the connections were colour coded.
...bit rough. But the Gigabyte GA-7N400 Pro2 is really a tough thing. Every piece is good marked (in colour especially) or written on the board. The installation is really easy. I remember when I bought for 10 years ago my first motherboard and tried to install it, it took me nearly two days and help from some computer mechanics friends. After I bought my GA-7N400 Pro2 I did it first without looking to the manual but surprisingly I saw that there are ... ...fitted no where. So I had to look at the manual. Some of the cables were for no-use actually. The system is really fast there are some upgrade options for the CPU on the board and many useful features. Live Bios update is really useful if you don’t know how to do it buy you’re own. In the end, great value great motherboard ...

Advantages: Easy to set up, Everything. Disadvantages: None that i can think of
I reacently built a PC for myself (achually a friend built it, while i wached a felt confused). The Mother board was fairly easy to fit and its layout is very good, the parts all fit in with enough space around them to prevent to much fiddiling. the board comes complete with surround sound capabilities so if like me you are trying to save money then you can cut out the sound card without losing out on sound quality. In all its a fast effective easy ... ...duel bios which are ever more popular, so if one bios is infected or in some way incopassitated then another is there to take up the job. My trusted PC builder also commented on how it was easy to attach the processor fan something which he assures me can be quite tricky, all in all i would recomend this to for athlon processors and esspecially the 2800+ barton as this is what i have. ...

I bought this board on the advice of one of the many overclocking sites out there. I don't intend to overclock my CPU just yet (its an AMD 2800+ Barton) but its nice to have the option.
If you want the ins and outs of the technicalities of overclocking this board, I suggest you look else where, all I can tell you is that it's all done in the bios and no hardware jumpers are needed.
However, as to the rest of the board, it's great. Starting at the ... ...that you can use any of the current 32bit AMD processors, 4 DDR DIMM slots allowing you to use the fastest PC3200 memory, support for RAID and Serial ATA drives if you want speed and reliability, AGP 8x for graphics, 5.1 digital surround sound and 6, yes six, USB ports (4 rear and 2 front) more than enough (at the moment) to put of using that USB hub! There is support for IRDa and Firewire too... great for the digital camcorder.

there board is awesome pc been on for months never switch off. running Amd Athlon 2800+ running at 2.5Gh a crappy little coagar heatsink 3Gig of ram never had any problems with it only running at 45degrees i have all sockets used on it 2 sata 4 ide floppy
