Advantages: Inexpenisve, good performance, lots of ports and slots
Disadvantages: Ports a bit cluttered, no WiFi

...computer case, but the layout of the ports on the back, such as USB and Audio/Mic jacks is not the best. It’s very cluttered and often is a challenge to get to. My previous motherboard (also from Asus) had a similar issue and I had to make quite an effort to plug/unplug anything from the back. Other than that it’s done pretty well and everything on the actual board is color coded so that you can plug everything in quite easily, should you be upgrading or building your machine from scratch. Advantages: Awesome cheap motherboard supporting the Prescott processor
Disadvantages: Actually only has 3 ram slots without dual channeling

...A superb motherboard from Asus. Mine has just died after 2 years of overclocked use. I bought it for 30GBP, and has served me well. Tried to get hold of another, yet nowhere seems to sell them. Yet if you need a socket 478 motherboard, and have the option of a p4p800 range I would definatly go with this one. The bios are super friendly and easy to use, flashing the bios is also a simple procedure. Easy instalation, comes with 1 IDE cable, 1 Floppy cable, rear bezel and user manual with driver CD! Online support is trickey, as the entire asus team seems not to be able to speak proper English. The rarity of this motherboard now means you can only get the P4P800-X, DX, or SE. These are all based on the P4P800, but with added features, so expect the same results from these motherboards, as they are all part of the same family... Read review

Advantages: Reliablity

The other thing I like about all Asus boards is the way they always clearly mark there boards with instructions or indications on which way cables and other switches etc, should be placed, The board has most of the same features as other boards and is a reliable and cheep.
