The GIGABYTE GA-965P-DQ6 is a high performance platform that delivers a skillfully designed tuning facility to power users and hardcore gamers. Embodying intense performance, the GA-965P-DQ6 represents a fusion of the industry's most revolutionary designs, such as Quad Cooling, Quad eSATA 2, Quad BIOS, and Quad Triple Power Phase, not to mention all solid Capacitors that take advantage of better electronic conductivity and excellent heat resistance for enhanced system durability.
Features
Manual Settings: Processor core voltage, memory voltage, memory bus frequency, FSB ratio (CPU:memory), PCI Express x16 slot frequency, CPU frequency, processor core voltage, memory voltage, memory bus frequency, PCI Express x16 slot frequency, chipset voltage
Hardware Monitoring: CPU core temperature, chassis temperature, CPU fan tachometer, chassis fan tachometer, system voltage, power supply fan tachometer
Advantages: Huge Overclocking Potential and supports new CONROE! Disadvantages: No SLI or Xfire support, 1.8v RAM
...Support for LGA 775 and x16 PIC-E. The FSB can be pushed to way over 400 in most cases! I have to say I am very proud owner. Should the computer be pused to far then the bios will reset the FSB to whateva it was to start with (in my case 266 as I own a E6300)
However the RAM is set at 1.8v so a cheap stick will be needed to boot the bios until you can raise the voltage yourself manually, Though there are no other problems at all!
There is 5.1 speaker support, great BIOS features and stays very cool.
Dont hesitate to buy this, a fantastic budget Conroe/Allendale buy should you not need SLI or Xfire (especially now 7950GX2 and X1950XTX can handle most things)

Advantages: Supports Quad Core, All Solid Capacitor Design, Good Overclocker Disadvantages: Has issues with certain RAM
...The GA-965P-DS3 is Gigabyte's medium range Motherboard supporting all of Intel's Current processors as of 08/2007.
The board was created using the Intel P965 Express North bridge and ICH8 South bridge chip sets. The ICH8 South bridge chip set has one drawback which is that it only supports SATA devices, with no support for IDE which is kind of a downside although SATA Hard Drives can be bought rather cheap nowadays and are much faster than IDE Drives.
Since it is using the P965 Express chip set, the motherboard supports all Socket LGA775 type processors, DDR2 RAM modules operating in Dual Channel mode up to 800MHz which is 6400, although you can use UNSUPPORTED 8500, you just need to power up the motherboard with some low voltage RAM first, as well as PCI-E X16 graphics cards in single card mode.

Advantages: Stable, Excellent BIOS options, Asus, Great for overclocking Disadvantages: Price, Sound
...This is a great motherboard offered by Asus, a company known as the best motherboard manufacturer. Based on my experience, their products are top-notch and no other company can compete (except perhaps DFI or Gigabyte).
This is an excellent motherboard with many features and options. The BIOS allows more options than almost any other motherboard of this price range. It is strongly recommended to look at all the features offered:

This motherboard is also quiet, as it has no fans but great cooling with heat pipes and such. This is a great, stable board.
Also one of its advantages, is the overclocking potential. This is one of the best boards out there right now for overclocking. (Note: Overclocking voids your warranty). It allows the great Core 2 Duo...

I wanted a cheap motherboard for a cheap core 2 processor tine E2000 and I've noticed this cheap EliteGroup motherboard based on the great Intel 965 chipset. So I've took this motherboard from a friend's hardware store and I've started to test it.
