Having myself tried and tested this motherboard for 6 months in two machines,I am totally convinced of is usefulness and it's place in the market.Providing a very stable board and up to date technology,it has the added benefit of a system that protects your bios against viruses,power fluctuations,incorrect bios upgrades and bios chip failure.

I have been using this board for a while now, and overall it has been as stable as a rock using vista ultimate x64. Drivers and BIOS's from Gigabyte are quite frequent, although make sure to get the correct RAID driver for the appropriate BIOS as it has changed over releases. Overall good piece of kit for the money :-) and is still supporting the latest AM2+ Phenom II processors, I have been using mine within an Athlon 64 X2 Black edition, and has also been overclocked stable since the day of purchase with no problem to report. The layout has is good and has supported all matter of expansion cards that I've used. Including a PCI-E Tvcard. Watch for USB support with VOIP phones though. ...

After weighing up the pros and cons, i decided to go for an Athlon MP based computer.
Keeping my eye out on ebay, and looking up all the available motherboard options, i decided to see if i could get a GigabyteGA-7DPXDW+.
The reason i chose this board above the others is:
