I own 2 DS Lites, my son has one and my partner does, they come in a great range of colours Black,White,Pink and the newer Blue.
The touch screen on them is great, it makes the games so much more fun and with games like super mario you get mini games that all use the touch screen and they are great fun.
As for the size of it well i carnt complain its small quite slim and light! hence the name.
As for the age recomended on these my son has had one since last christmas and at the time he was 3! and after about a day learnt how to use it better than me lol. some games can be akward for smaller children but the likes of super mario, mario kart, shrek,cars ect are great for them.
Its also very durable my son has dropped his on tiled floor, sat on it and god knows what else and its fine, its also very easy to keep clean.

The Only Disadvantages about the DS lite are when you Put a Game in the GBA slot, it sticks out By about one centimeter, The Battery only Has 6 hours of life, And if your DS Lite is a dark colour like Black It shows all fingerprints, However all these Disadvantages Are basically about looks (except for battery life) so theres nothing to worry about.
