Introduction;
This Dual Bios motherboard designed to accept AMD/Duron/Athlon/XP processors,incorperates onboard sound,+4 USB,with DDR memorey and in innovative dual bios system.
Having myself tried and tested this motherboard for 6 months in two machines,I am totally convinced of is usefulness and it's place in the market.Providing a very stable board and up to date technology,it has the added benefit ... ...be found anywhere on the gigabyte website, or in the otherwise comprehensive manual, so make a mental note or like me you'll be pulling you hair out for a week or two!!

Advantages: Very fast board and easy to install. DDR Ram and Dual Bios. Disadvantages: On the expensive side. Could have more USB connectors.
...pages and decided on the Gigabyte GA7 DXR to run an Athlon 1.4Mhtz 266 FSB.
Why? I’ll tell you. Firstly it has the new DDR (double Data Rate memory function that means that the Ram is “Read” on both the rise and fall of the CPU clock. (Still with me)? In effect, P133 memory is “Doubled” to P266 (whilst still remaining P133). Basically double the speed.
It also has “Raid” capability – Redundant Array of Inexpensive (independent) Disks. This brings ... ...can also use a bundled Gigabyte utility to “flash” upgrade your Bios. As a test I did just this and it was as painless and easy to accomplish as Gigabyte say – You could even update daily if you felt like it, it’s that simple and youget the option to save the Bios (on floopy if you want) in case of problems.
