Advantages: small, easy to use, effects Disadvantages: not the cheapest
...the DXM06 is my favorite Numark mixer.
In this nice little 24bit digital mixer, you get everything you would expect from a mixer.
there are 2 phono inputs and 3 line/ cd inputs, 2 out puts master and record.
Full high, mid, low trim and kill switches topped off with some very nice sound effects.
you only get 6 effects but they are all perfect at there job, the 4 main effects are ECHO, Flanger, PHASER and Filter all controled with a slider and turn knob giving you a full range of parimiters to make that mix sound amazing.
the mixer looks grat and sounds fantastic i didnt know that a digital mixer would make the vinyl sound better too. this is a very easy to use mixer and would suit most users bigginer or pro...

Advantages: Fast sliders, build quality, lastability Disadvantages: Basic
...In combination with a turntable it feels Incredible to use, I use mine to scratch and beet juggle with and the mixer delivers exactly what you want. The channel faders and the cross fader feel very strong when sliding fast and hard and the switches stand up to a lot of abuse. I have owned mine for about 5 years and the cross fader is still going strong. Also a very good mixer for the crab scratch. the reverse button for the mixer is a handy feature which lets lets you pull of some backwards scratching or mixing. The mixer only has two channels so perhaps a bit basic if you're looking for a production mixer. I find my fingers wear away the gold lines printed on the front but this just happens as wear and tear i think....

Advantages: Build quality, built in effects, sound Disadvantages: Not enough decent effects, sound is not as good as other newer mixers
...I have owned my DJM-500 for over 4 years now, and it has lasted the test of time and the battering I have given it. Still perceived as the original ultimate professional dj/club mixer, it has remained as popular as ever. Its build quality is superb, but I believe its sound is not as good as other newer alternatives.
I am now looking to buy a new mixer - so will I buy another of these or a similar Pioneer product? I think not. I believe the advantages of the Allen & Heath Xone series outweigh Pioneer's mixers. Even so, I will still have a place in my heart for the DJM-500 as it was my very first mixer. I highly recommend this mixer to anybody who is starting out and want a mixer which is built like a brick and sounds good....
