I have two copies of 'The Epic of Gilgamesh' which is in fact a collection of stories about the semi-mythical demi god king of Uruk.

flow well, a very readable translation, a must for anyone curious about early literature
not the best edition for academic study

Mitchell has forgone the academic rigours of endless footnotes and has produced a seamless translation from various sources of the story (detailed in the introduction and notes) which flows excellently and draws you in to the magical world of Uruk, the descriptions of Uruk's mighty walls in the first few pages are magnificent and set the tone.
