This is the second opinion I have written on Ciao about my most favourite pastime, yes its summertime, well if it would stop raining it would be - nearly!
It is time ladies and gentlemen to cast aside those winter woollies, those waterproof baseball caps, to show that finely shaped bonce to the world. I ask you to show your appreciation for the dome, that great harbourer of your mind and personality, to shave that head to remove those follicles and attain what I can only describe as a cool, suave and outstanding appearance.
Need I explain further?
Whilst you have been watching The World Cup competition, tell me in your opinion what the main difference is with this years hair fashions?
You don’t know?
The answer is simple, the new hair fashion is having no hair, nothing, not a single follicle on your napster. I think it’s a cool trend. This is especially so as I am a bit thin up top with a recession that easily outmatches the early Nineties!
So now that it is more than socially acceptable to be a bald coot what do you use to attain the smooth dome? I used to use the Lynx Razor but I have found something much better oh yes!
The Gillette Mach3 Razor was introduced in 1998 and is currently the most popular razor on the market today.
It is fashioned with a moulded rubber grip handle, especially needed when your hands get a little soapy and wet and a quick hand change is required. Yes shaving your face with one hand is the norm, but the head needs two hands and two mirrors.
The blade is made up of 3 stainless steel blades. Very sharp blades, however please don’t cut and slice when shaving, also stabbing actions are not recommended either.
There is the very important lubricating strip which cuts down on drag and thus effects a smoother shaving action.
The shaving head pivots thus enabling the 3 blades to adhere to the scalp surface,
So how do you do it, here’s how:
Wet the scalp with warm water and work well into the stubble, I use Gillette Series Sensitive Shave Gel. Making sure that you use hot water to rinse the blade, start from the crown and work your way forward, not too fast with long flowing strokes, Continue this process until you have shaved the top and sides of your head, back to front is the name of this game here.
Secondly using a hand held mirror so that you can see the back of your head in a wall mounted mirror work your way down from the crown to the nape of your neck, once again with long smooth strokes.
To finish take the rinsed blade upwards across any neck hairs. Do not on any occasion take the blade up and over the back of your head or forehead back to your crown. Doing this will ultimately lead to great discomfort and probable rash!
To maintain this level of baldness repeat daily.
When finished, rinse your head with warm water and pat dry. Applying some kind of easily absorbed moisturiser at this stage would be a good move.
There you have it, a lesson in making yourself dead trendy!
Er, dunno if a shaved head would look good on me...only a female with the head shape and looks of a Sinead O'Connor can get away with that! Nice op, but shan't use it for future reference, I'm afraid!--Teresa

Well I can't say I noticed my husband's face being any smoother :S Maybe it works best on heads.

I found this to be a great razor, although I always lose the blades I buy, and end up shaving with the old blade for weeks until it snags just toooo much! Good Op!
