I used to shave my legs with Bic razors in the shower with no cream or anything until my husband told me off and told me to stop mutilating my legs so I figured it was time to find something else a little more grown up and that would make my already gorgeous legs (he he) look better than ever.
I had seen lots of television adverts for the Venus Vibrance for women from Gillette so decided to give it a go (it might have had something to do with the fact that I love the Bananarama song Venus which is featured in the ad's but, moving swiftly on!)
You can buy the razor in Boots for £8.99. This razor is Gillette's first powered razor for women. It is powered by an AA battery which is also sold with the razor. I have had my razor for over a year now and don't think I've ever had to replace the battery yet. There is a button at the bottom of the razor that you press to turn off and on. It's quite a sturdy button and out of the way of your grip and needs a good press so there is no worry about turning it off accidently mid use or turning it on when you don't need to for that matter. I believe the razor vibrates in order to make the hairs on your leg stand up so you get a closer shave. My legs are always very smooth after suing this so it seems to work.
The best thing I like about this razor though is that it has three blades with moisture glide strips on them which, when wet, add lubrication to your legs to ensure a gentle and smooth shave. This is great for a lazy person like me who doesn't use a shaving foam in the shower. In fact you don't really need one as the strips in my opinion work as well as any shavingfoam and lather your leg up very well. The product is quite creamy as well so my legs do feel really moisturised afterwards as well. The great thing is that this moisture strip lasts a really long time, almost as long as the length of that particular blade. I find the blades last for a very long time too. I am not very careful with mine and leave them in the shower so you would think that they would go rusty but this has never happened wither.
You do not need to replace the main Venus Vibrance, you just replace the blades when needed. A four pack of replacement blades costs £8.89 from Boots so a little on the expensive side but as I said they last a long time, these four blades would probably last me about six months plus so if you work it out over time it is not that expensive. The blades are easy to replace. They come in individual plastic packs, you peel off the backing, insert the razor and then they click into place so no cutting or slicing your fingers attempting to take out the blades.
There are wires across the blades so I never seem to get nicks or cuts with this razor either. The close shave lasts for three or four days so you can enjoy your beautiful legs.

I have the mens gillette power jobby with the five blades and battery power. The replacement blades are so pricey and i think its naff so its good to see they can still get something right
