I was reccomended The Contented Little Baby Book and have never looked back since. Gina Ford gives practcal advice and hope to many first time mothers. She tells you when to wake, feed, change, bath and massage the baby. She tells you how to look after yourself and gives many clever tips on making motherhood an enjoyable time. She gives you routines to follow for the first year, explains how to increase your milk supply if you are breastfeeding and also how to wean your baby. The most important part of the book is that she teaches you how to have a baby that sleeps for 12 hours every night. I have and I thank Gina Ford for it.... Read review

...gives you confidence that she knows what she is wrighting about . you can purchase this book fom any good book store i got mine for 5.99 at whs with a bogohp so i got jacks potty book for 1.99 which he loves reading while sitting on potty i would recomend buying a book for potty sitting at the same time if you purchase gina ford saves looking for another book .... ...Potty Training in One Week This little gem of a book was written by author Gina Ford, who also wrote "The Contented Little Baby Book". Gina Ford has over 20 years experience working as a maternity nurse all over the world for all kinds of people, from lawyers and bankers to newspaper editors and pop stars. She now runs a maternity consultancy service for parents. I have never felt the need to buy any of these self-help books before, as being a Mother, you rarely find the time to read these so called helpful guides! The book is of a very dinky square sized 6 inches by 5 inches, so you know its not going to be a tome to read. It was the title that grabbed me, because I will do anything that offers a quick solution, especially when it relates to children and their development.
