Forget the hype!
Advantages Nice Packaging
Disadvantages The pasty
Ginsters is a big household name and the company has branded itself very well. As a regular visitor to Cornwall, I can honestly say that I have to eat a cornish pasty when I am there. It doesn't matter which shp you buy one from, they always taste the same. Ok pastry and very fry filling, mainly meat, but also some nice pieces of vegetable. The Ginsters one I have just had looked pretty much the same as the 'real' cornish ones. The pastry was probably slight better but the filling was horrible. More veg than meat and was left with oniony aftertaste. Maybe the Cornish Pasty needs a facelift? The chippy down the road from me does a local version, that has peas in it!! But it is very nice. Sorry Ginsters, add some peas to your recipe!
