Sliding the sleeve off reveals a black plastic bowl with a clear plastic flip top lid, with a spork embedded in it. For the uninitiated a spork (I can believe my spell checker hasn’t got spork in) a combination spoon/fork, basically a spoon with miniature fork tines carved into the end. Life the spork out and open the lid and dig in.
As with most products ... ...the ingredients 13% chicken and 2% bacon. There is a healthy amount of pasta in there, cooked just right as well, as cold pasta does have a tendency to be a little hard. There is a combination of French and Caesar dressing coating the mix, which although tastes nice, does give a slightly vinegary taste but if you’re ok with that you’ll like this. There’s also some diced cucumber in as well, which does add a little more flavour to the mix.

I usually have a sandwich at work, but for a change I thought I’d go for a salad bowl, and this looked the most appealing.
The bowl itself isn’t particularly large, containing 220g of pasta salad, but with my usual crisps and choccy bar, it makes a good sandwich substitute. The bowl has a cardboard sleeve around it, which is bright orange with the Ginsters logo and product name on it.

The chicken and bacon are definitely chicken and bacon, not the soya substitutes you get in things like Pot Noodles. As for whether the chicken has been chargrilled, very difficult to tell from the size of the chicken pieces, as for the bacon, it almost looks like its been fried or grilled to oblivion before its shredded.
For the health conscious amongst you there’s almost 32g of fat, which works out to 14.4 per 100g which is probably not too good. If your counting calories and not fat your looking at 466 calories. (212 per 100g)
All in all a nice lunchtime snack every now and then… Not something I’d have on a regular basis or go out of my way to get.
