Gioserve offer so many packages and services, that there is not enough room here to list them all, so I will give you details on my personal experience with them(and that of my family's), and you can always visit their website, and be overwhelmed at what's on offer.

I selected Gio universal package for 24/7 unmetered internet access (plus 3 email addresses and the usual news, webspace etc) and for the first few weeks I was so impressed I recommended it to 2 other members of my family. The service continued to be really good, and I was chuffed at having saved myself the higher costs other companies charge. It was also the first time I had been able to subscribe to a 24hour free number, so I could ... ...phone bill, I was very happy:)
Unfortunately things have started to get very hit-and-miss with Gioserve over the last 4-6 weeks. Sometimes I cannot get connected AT ALL for a few days at a time. I am disconnected sometimes, even though I am actively using the pc (it should be once every hour I get cut off on this package), and the prices have not fallen as they hinted they might as more people joined. I found the company through 08whatever.com, which is a search and compare for your next unmetered isp, if you're thinking of changing. In my case, Tiscali had just put their prices up for off-peak unmetered, and I wasn't too impressed with their service and wanted to save money.

Pages take forever to load on some days. Of course we are now seeing the negative influence of high contention (lots of folk trying to get connected and surfing at the same time on a limited network, that's why the price is so low). More people are joining, but the service is now under strain and the price remains the same = £7.99 per month, taken using worldpay at the beginning of each month.
I'm not sure if their other packages would be a better bet, and they have just released broadband @ £17.99 a month. I have had to join a local call rate isp to use when gioserve fails me. I know that you get what you pay for, I just hope I don't have to use this additional ISP too often. I really love to surf and relax, not worry about the minutes ticking by and the phone bill growing. Now I'm limited to 80 hours a month through gioserve as well, so I'm not as relaxed as I once was :( My sister is in the process of finding a replacement ISP, and my Mum has problems getting any web pages to load at times. They have had their share of the same problems mentioned above.
When I moved house I had emailed them many times asking for details on how I was to set up my pc and new phone line. It turned out that the instructions they gave me didn't work because they had not updated my details and telephone number as I instructed. Therefore I was without my connection for a couple of days trying to figure out where the fault was. Although the technical advisors are very polite, I was disappointed with this.
One final gripe I have with gioserve is the customer service. The phone call will cost you 50p per min, and at first they would reply to my emails instantly. Now I have joined them, I am still waiting for a reply 2 weeks later. This was a complaint and questions about their quality of service. I also emailed them last week asking for a copy of the terms and conditions of my contract with them, guess what... no reply. hmmmm. make of that what you will.

Advantages: Can't think of any Disadvantages: Too many to discuss in here.
I must admit, it had been a rather unpleasant experience to have signed up with Gio. Its website says no more waiting and get connected first time! This would be a dream come ture!. It took me serveral hours just to get a connection. I know it only charge £7.99 a month but I think it is a total waste of money. The worst bit comes when you try to cancel your account. You need to fill in lot of details as though you are applying for Tony Blair's job ...
