A little bit of histoy about Givenchy: Hubert De Givenchy was born in France in 1927. He designed for many of the famous French fashion houses. In 1952 he opened his own Fashion house, his designs for Audrey Hep burn in `Breakfast at Tiffanys` popularised the sleeveless high bosom dress. Givenchy showed his very last couture collection in 1995.
Product and packaging: Amarige is very beautifully and elegantly presented in a clear glass bottle with a `sculpted` glass stopper. The outer box being a lavish red and gold. A 50 ml spray is available at Beauty Bay for £25.49
The fragrance notes: Neroli,Mandarin,Violets,Gardenia,Ylang-Ylang,Mimosa,Ambergris Musk and Vanilla.
Experiencing Amarige: My first spray said ..Gentle,Young and fresh. The undertone said vanilla !..a smell I just love. The perfume lingered, not strong,im sure both day and evening wear would be fine. Fruity ,light and flirtacious.
Summary: Yes ,I agree wholeheartedly the perfume is a bit pricey, but the beauty far outweighs the cost and im sure that it will be on my Wishlist for many years to come. Light but lasting the fragrance lingered on for hours on my skin.

Advantages: quite reasonably priced a little goes a long way Disadvantages: Not all perfumes smell the same on different people but that's not Givenchy's fault
