Advantages Decent line ups for a first time festival
Disadvantages Disappointing that more bands from Reading won't come north
Finally, we get a music festival in Scotland, which, unlike T in the Park will ROCK! Call me old fashioned, but rock festivals should have rock bands, not Macy Gray headlining. Well, Glasgow Green, as the new baby sister to Reading and Leeds should prove to be an instant success. While it is disappointing that so few acts have been coaxed north of the border from the English festivals, the organisers have done suberbly well to assemble a formidable line-up. The Stereophonics are the highlight on Friday and Saturday will rock to the Foo Fighters' beat and sing along with Oasis.
The first year of this new festival will be the first of many great years to come.
