Piriteze Allergy Tablets

I have suffered with a few different Food allergies since I was a child that would always cause me to come out in an itchy rash, particularly across my chest and I often used to take Piriton Medicine to ease it. But as I got older I tried the tablet form which are the Piriteze Allergy Tablets.

They are apparently designed to relieve the symptoms of Hayfever, Pet or House dust mite allergies, Skin allergies, Rashes itching and Hives. The Active Ingredient they contain is something called Cetirizine which is a non-sedating antihistamine.

Directions for using this Medicine is to take 1 a Day and that is supposed to relieve you of any allergy symptoms. But with my experience taking these tablets, they are nowhere near as effective as they are made out to be. They did relieve the itch of the Rash on my chest for a Short Period, but they certainly won't strong enough to fight the itch for very long. As well as my Skin rashes I get from time to time, I also had a really sore scalp which was dry and itching terribly. My doctor said this was likely to be a Skin allergy and reccomended the Piriteze tablets. But they had barely any effect on my itching and sore scalp they were really quite useless.

The worst thing about these tablets though, is how drowsy they caused me to be! Considering they are supposed to be "non-sedative" they made me extremely tired and after taking them I spent the majority of the day fantasizing about my bed! The tiredness made it quite difficult to go about my daily duties. If you take them on an evening, you will probably find that you will want to go to bed very early!

I don't think these Piriteze tablets have really got it right to be honest, any minor relief they have given me was so temporary that it's hardly worth mentioning. If you are suffering from allergies you will definetely need something other than these, they probably work better as a Sleeping aid rather than an antihistamine!
