Glen G2SA Convect

Advantages: Cheap, Effective and Efficient
Disadvantages: Smells a bit on first time use

...In January 2006 I moved into my new house, Now the house is all electric, with no gas supply and the house is heated with two storage heaters, one downstairs and one upstairs. As some of you may have found if you have ever had storage heaters, they are fine for the summer months but struggle to heat up the house adequately in the colder winter months. So after a few nights of sitting on my sofa a little chilly, I decided to take a trip to my local Argos to look for a cheap Electric Heater. The product I chose was the Glen G2SA Convector Heater Now this product was £19.99 so I wasn't expecting too much, but to my surprise it is fantastic and over a year on it is still keeping me cosy and warm. Advantages: Heats quickly, 2 heat settings, cheap
Disadvantages: None, though I have been told they are not very energy efficient

.... These heaters are basically meant to radiate heat which then circulates around the room (convection). So my flatmate got my little heater home and stuck the little feet on - this can be either wall mounted or freestanding on the floor - and switched it on all ready for me to arrive home. Well! My bedroom was toastier than a summer's day! The room also seemed to retain the heat a lot better than with the fan heater and when I switched it off then back on again later to re-heat the room before bed, it did the job very quickly. The heater has 2 heat settings, so if it is not too chilly you can have it on the lower one. There is no on/off switch however, it is turned on and off by plugging in or removing the plug, which I don't think is the greatest idea ever, but that is my only complaint. Advantages: easy to operate and has grill and convection
Disadvantages: a little noisy!

...A good value for money microwave. In addition to microwaving, this appliance is a convection oven.......very useful when you want pain au chocolats quickly! There is also a grill, though this is small, so really only useful for grilling small quatities. The appliance sits on a worksurface easily and is very simple to program and operate. My only complaint is that on using the convection oven initially, my required temperature was not reached...I complained to customer service who quickly replaced the appliance, bringing it to my place of work. That was over 3 years ago and since then i have not had an issue with this appliance and the convection oven works perfectly. The microwave is a little noisy, compared to other models, though not overpowering. The inside of the microwave is easy to clean, and the turntable comes off easily... Read review
