I'm never easily impressed but this product managed to do it for me. There's some poor reviews of Dr Beckmann's Glowhite on here I see, but I'm wondering what type of fabric they used it on... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap, no bleach, can be used at low temperatures.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Doesn't work!

My other half wears a shirt to work every day and has so many I can't even figure out how many off the top of my head but I know he has six or seven white shirts alone. We all know what a pain white shirts can be, after a while they look tired and a little grubby even when they are freshly washed, especially on the cuffs and collars. I usually bleach them every so often but bleach and my skin really don't get on, I end up with my skin peeling off my hands, which although it doesn't hurt or even itch isn't very nice. So when I went shopping a couple of weeks ago I thought I would look for ... more

Advantages Advantages Crisp, clean, sweet smelling nets.

Disadvantages Disadvantages You have to iron them and out them back up!

I felt that I should tell you that I finally got round to washing my net curtains! I know you’ll all be pleased to know this fact and will sleep easier in your beds because of it. As you may have guessed from my opening remarks this is not a job I do very often, but when I do I use a product called Glo White Net Curtain Whitener. Glo White is one of a range of products of this type made by a company called Acdo and it comes in a packet of three 57ml sachets, each suitable for one batch of six medium sized curtains. I can’t remember how much I paid for these but I think it was about ... more

    Advantages Advantages Really Works

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive

Introduction I noticed that a few of my white towels and curtains were starting to look a bit faded and grubby. As we all know decent towels cost a lot of money and are not something that we really like to have to replace very often. I was having a coffee at, my friend's house and commented on how lovely her white duvet was when she took it out of the washing machine. I use Glowhite she said and I have to say that it was a product that I was none too familiar with, so after taking a look at the box she had in the house I went off to my local Morrison's with the express purpose of buying this ... more

    Advantages Advantages Reasonably priced

Disadvantages Disadvantages Did not make my whites 'white'

I bought this 'Dr Beckmann Glowhite' product a month or so ago, after reading some very praiseworthy reviews, but I have to say that my experience contradicts all the positive reviews that I have read about it. This is the first occasion when a product that I have bought has not lived up to the positive reviews that it has on dooyoo. The box that I bought in Tesco for just under £1.80, contains 5 'pop in wash sachets' that you simply add to the machine with your usual washing powder. This products contains a 'super whitener with UV Sun Protector'. As we were about to go on holiday, I thought ... more

Advantages Advantages easy to use . does a good job

    Disadvantages Disadvantages white nets

It's the school holidays a time I use to do all those little tasks I never get time to do in term time. One of those jobs is washing the net curtains. Yes I have nets I do not really like nets. However I have a glass front door and windows either side of it this is at the base of the stairs. Now I usually sleep in just my skin and occasionally nip downstairs with nothing on, either that or a dressing gown. So that I do not frighten the postman and embarrass myself I have put nets up at the front door windows. Would like to get blinds one day but after they cost more and I have now got used to ... more
