This is going to make me sound like a real snob but i am not i promise, when i was younger in my teenage years my mother would drag me along to a carboot sale every sunday morning, i absolutley hated it, for one it was sunday morning and in a teenagers world that doesnt exist and secondly why would i want to buy second hand junk that no one else wanted?
Well this all changed after i left home and moved to a little town with a market hall that had carboot sales every tuesday, friday and saturday.
I have had some great bargains from car boot sales, i am still a bit of a snob as i wont uy second hand shoes or clothes but a lot of my ornaments came from carboot sales as anyone with children wil know expensive ornaments are a definate no no, you dont mind so much when it gets broken if you have only paid 50p for it.

I did my first car boot sale about 14 years ago. When I first opened my car boot, the punters swarmed around my car to see what I had. I could not believe it - they were like vultures and in my naivety I had never seen anything like it before. I came to realise after more car boot sales that this is what they do - so be warned!!
When doing car boot sales, do take into account the location - we have a couple of regular ones here, one on a Saturday morning through at a local town nearby so you get the Saturday morning shoppers calling by on their way home, and there is often one at a supermarket on a Saturday in town so you know it may get busy with shoppers coming out of the supermarket.
