    When I was diagnosed as a diabetic, it was one of the worst experiences of my life. I was shattered! However, gradually as I accepted it, things began to fall into place, and I realised that it wasn’t necessarily the death sentence I had first thought it was! But there was a lot to cope with: no doubt about that. Life was going to change for me (and my family). First thing my diet changed, it had to. My current diet was so rich in fat and unhealthy products. Next I had to get used to doing a wee on a little stick a measuring my glucose count, and then recording those readings.
