However, being specifically made for oily skin, it does have a really strong drying affect, and therefore should not be used by people with even normal or combination skin types. It should be strictly for people with oily to very oily skin. Even though the clarifying lotion does leave the skin extra clean, and the complexion looks extra smooth, it does sting the skin sometimes, especially the first time it is used. It stings even more if your skin is suffering from dryness, so that is another reason that it is best left for people with exceptionally oily skin, because it is only comfortable to use at that level. I think that the Clinique Clarifying Lotion for oily skin does work quite well, and does just what is said, but the formula is too strong for mildly oily skin types... Read review

Advantages: very effective at removing grime and make-up

...and neck and that really is all you do, sweep! You will be so surprised how much crap comes off your face and onto the cotton wool even after washing first, I never feel clean unless I’ve used this. Does it work? -------------------- 100%, since using this my skin has fewer breakouts and always feels thoroughly cleansed afterwards. if I haven’t got much time ie; I’ve been out on the lash then this is the only skincare I do but I always make sure I use it as all the grime and make-up is removed so easily. Occasionally my skin feels slightly dry afterwards but it never feels greasy anymore. I cannot think of a product that could replace this part of my skincare routine. It is best to get the lovely counter girls to asses your skin with their slidey thing so you get the correct product. The packaging I really like. Because the products are quite high in price the packaging helps to promote the quality that you are paying for. It is a simple C with Clinique underneath in silver and then the product description. The clarifying lotion comes in a tall bottle with a green lid and the bottle itself is frosted. The clarifying lotion is a pale purple colour. The opening of the bottle is quite big and has no covering like others do (ones with the tiny hole in the middle so not too much comes out at once) so when applying to the cotton ball you have to tip it very slowly and make sure the cotton ball is covering the whole opening...
