...This may sound hard to believe but as of March 8th the Wii will have been on the European market for four months, that's a third of a year, and I can't believe it has been that long since the stories of console shortages and flying controllers hit the news. For those that live under a rock, the Wii is Nintendo's fifth home console, following in the footsteps of; NES, SNES, N64 and Gamecube. I say following in the footsteps, but in the sense of 'what comes next', the Nintendo Wii took a giant leap that needed to be taken in order to keep Nintendo in competition with Sony and Microsoft. They created a console with a motion sensing controller.
Wii was always coming, because you can always be sure that as long as there is going to be a next generation of computer games, Nintendo shall be involved. Nintendo aren't used to battling though...

...After living with our Nintendo Wii for a good six weeks now, I thought I'd post a half-term report on how we, as a family, are living with this extraordinary little console. There are other excellent reviews on the in's, out's and wherefore's of the Wii but I thought I'd give you an idea of what it's like after the initial excitement has died down. Please see the end of this review for links to other excellent reviews that go into detail of what is included in the Wii package.

...to press them is in Zelda when you're getting up a map or something, so with no urgency to press them it doesn't really matter how long it takes you to reach to them.
How long is this Wiimote going to take to get used to then? Well when you first set up the Wii you tell it if your sensor bar is above or below the TV, you think, "Ok this should sort out all my wibbly wobbly cursor movement." For me, it didn't. It felt like the Wii didn't even know what I was doing but eventually it does come to you. I can just imagine a lot of younger children opening this on Xmas Day and having a very hard time getting to grips with it and pretty much ruining their Christmas. The shrieks of "MY CHRISTMAS PRESENT DOESN'T WORK!!" Urrgh. Parents maybe you should try it out first before your kids so you can teach them.
I would say after about an hour I...
