Advantages Nice easy story to understand
Disadvantages Nothing at all
I love the story book for little ones called Goat, Donky and the Noise downstairs. It is written by Simon Puttock and this book will appeal to both little boys and little girls alike, aswell as their parents. This is a lovely story to read together though maybe not a good idea just before bedtime as little ones may have dreams.
The story is about a little goat who is in bed and he hears a noise downstairs and he is afraid as he thinks burglars are stealing things from his house. He is so afraid he creeps into his friend donkey's bedroom to ask him to help him see what the noise is.Goat gets a terrible fright when he sees that donkey is not in bed and he thinks he must have been stolen by the evil burglars. Goat takes Rabbit which is the lovely toy of donkey and uses it to hit the burglars with. As goat creeps down the stairs the tension builds but then the reader discovers that there are no burglars after all and it is donkey who is making the noise all the time. He is in the kitchen making himself soemthing to eat. Goat is very relieved to see donkey.
The ending of this book is lovely and happy and reasurring for the child as both donkey and goat have a midnight feast together and laugh at how silly goat was for thinking there were burglars in their house. This is a lovely story to read with little ones and the lovely illustrations are very good aswell and really do compliment the story.
This would make a lovely present for either a little boy or a little girl of pre school age. It has 30 pages and I recommend it to you.
