Advantages graphics, skills, cutscenes, story, characters

Disadvantages redundancy, hack'n'slashing, boringness

God of War 2 is one of the best games ever made for the PS2 and I'm sure this is how it will be remembered.

You are Kratos, the God of War, looking to gain revenge over the Gods because they took your powers. After becoming God of War in the first game, you help your Spartan warriors win battle after battle and all the Gods of Olympus become enraged with you.

Following a journey that will take you through ancient mythical places, you will encounter numerous fictional monsters and figures, and battle your way to become the God of Gods. The creators of the game paid attention to every small detail in the game, and made it truly outstanding. The cutscenes are great, the story is great, and the evolution of the character is simply amazing. Also, the puzzles included into the game are really nice and some of them really make you use your brain, which isn't a bad thing, is it ?

Although it's not accurate from a mythical/historical point of view, that doesn't matter as long as you can enjoy it. Its remarkable graphics will be in the memory of PS2 users for a long long time. The only problem could come with the redundancy of the quests and missions, and the hack'n'slash-ing to Mt. Olympus. But if you are not easily bored this is the perfect game for you.

I strongly recommend it to anyone who wants a special game on the PS2. Alternative: Prince of Persia.
