Advantages: Lot`s of detail and content in the game Disadvantages: will take at least a month to even scratch the surface of game play
...I’ve been playing eve for 4 years now, which should give you an idea to how long and how addictive the game can be.
I’ll try and summarise what I think are the important things to know;
Eve is a MMO (massive multiplayer online) game, you chose and play a character that will inhabit a single universe with anywhere between 10 thousand and 50 thousand other players depending on the time of day. These players will be spread over some 5 thousand solar systems, all linked together though a complex network of stargates.
Like real life these people will be diverse in their interests and goals. One of the mixed blessings of eve is that CCP (the game developers) allows for a very flexible environment for people to play;
Player cons, griefing and espionage take place on a daily biases, piracy in a real sense can be a legitimate career...

Advantages: Great new online game similar to wow Disadvantages: brand new so a few small bugs
...Brand new from warhammer comes there first roleplaying game online,i brought it the day after release for £30.00 from my local game .
You get a 2 disc game pack with a small instruction book and a special key to log you in.Installation was not too bad unfortunatley i had to do it 3 times as i forgot i didnthave the latest direct x package but i did get there and full installation took me about 5 hours on my slow laptop 1 hour for the discs and 4 four the patches.
Its kind of like graphics of lotr online but better and the gameplay is similar to wow im a big wow fan and im really enjoying this game as well as pve pvp and organised city raids which where great fun but unorganised in wow it offers also a nice feature of public quest which you can just turn up and participate in for rewards which i have so far really enjoyed,its brand new...

So, I might hear you say... What is special about Obsidian? If free shards are commonplace, and there are plenty of newer games out, why choose this one? Why still play Ultima Online? Well...I shall do my best to enlighten you as to why I enjoy spending a little spare time with this gaming classic.

Obsidian was created by and is still ran by 'Broadband', who is the shard owner, and it has been online for 5 years. Whilst based on an old version of the Ultima Online game, this gives Obsidian a very much 'oldskool' and 'retro' online gaming feel that many of you may appreciate.
