A review of Godzilla: The Series for Game Boy Color.
So I decided to give the game based on the animation of the same name (which came about from the forgettable 1998 Godzilla film) a chance. I hadn't seen Godzilla: The Series so I was surprised to find that the blue - not green - monster in the game's introduction was actually Godzilla!
Your control of Godzilla is limited to attacking and defending, with only the tail swipe momentarily putting ... ...button, it's not troublesome.
Godzilla: The Series has two difficulty levels – ‘Normal’ and ‘Hard’. ‘Normal’ is not worth bothering with because once you learn how to defend - noting Godzilla doesn't take damage plus how the health regenerates - it becomes a walk in the park, or should that be city? I felt the levels were too long and the format where you encounter a boss mid-level only to finish them off at the end became tiresome.

...that I noticed when flipping Godzilla: The Series on was the immense size that Godzilla is. Placing Godzilla on the left side of the screen, he fills all the way from the bottom with his enormous feet to the top. There is also a good use of the color palette, making for some interesting environments that can become somewhat the same after a little while (you'll see the same buildings repeated over and over and over). Most of the time there's quite ... ...real difficulty is what hurts Godzilla: The Series the most, but beyond that, I found that the little cartridge held a lot of action to be found. With all the Game Boy titles being released, however, there are better selections to be picked up before tackling this big, green machine. ...

Buying this game for the Wii at my local game for £30 i though woah a geat bargain! But how wrong could I have been as I feel that this game is the most terrible thing that has happened to the Godzilla franchise.
