Advantages: Beautiful scenery, Clean Air, Superb Excursions, Warm and Friendly Folk Disadvantages: can be expensive to the British Pocket
rather hilly, it is a most interesting place to stay and with lots going on both through the day and in the evenings, of course St Anton comes to life in the winter wiht skiing being available for both the Novice and the Expert Skier.
St Anton is an excellent base from which to explore the rest of the Tirol, with the Kaunertal Valley, Italy, Lichtenstein, Switzerland and Germany all being within and easy day excursion by car, there are many chairlifts and cable cars around St Anton and regular tain service to Bregenz and Innsbruck.
I would not recommend St Anton to those who find hilly environments difficult, I would direct you to Seefeld which is very level despite being in the thick of the mountains..
St Anton is a lively place with lots of night life loads of Hotels and Guesthouses to suit all tastes and pockets and plenty of great ...
Advantages: Lifts, Snow, Cartouche, Friendly, Hotel Rendlhof Disadvantages: Piste grooming, wet lower down at Easter, weather on St Anotn, prices.
make up the St Anton area. The thing that stands out about this area are the lifts. They are fantastic. A product of the 2000 World Championships, the extra money has brought in a fantastic system. Most of the chairlifts are covered and either 4 man or 6 man, and fast too. The gondolas are also first class, but there are still some annoying t-bars about. The runs, however, are not so good. While we were there, there was a lot of snowfall, and while the snow falls, they don't groom the pistes, which was heavy going. There is also little difference between Blues, Reds and Black runs (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced), which can cause confusion. However, the runs are generally well marked. Don't miss the Valluga - a huge cable car to the top of the mountain with amazing runs back down. The area became a little crowded over the weekend, but ...
Advantages: It's gorgeous, it'a alcoholic, it's a sweet, luxurious liqueur.. Disadvantages: Too expensive!
This has got to be my favourite drink in the world. And to use an American expression that I think rather fitting....Period. It's fantastic, I could rave on about it using all sorts of adjectives. but that's not going to get me a high rating, nor particularly inform you guys. :P
As described on the rather lovely packaging, this drink is 'uniquely dark and intriguing' and I've got to agree. Tia Maria is a dark rum and while it looks like it could be quite dry, it's got a deliciously sweet coffee/vanilla taste to it that is so moreish. Pour it into a glass and you'll see a thick, dark coloured, wonderful-smelling liquid come out. Put the glass to your lips and inhale the vanilla/coffee smell. Sip it slowly and taste the luxurious pleasure that is Tia Maria. I can't describe the taste, I wouldn't do it justice.
It's26.5% volume ...
