Advantages Lovely story and beautiful illustrations

Sarah Garland has written a series of lovely little books for pre school children and all of them I have been able to relate to as they have been appropriate at some stage in my granddaughter's life. Angelica went through a phase of being very frightened of experiencing new environments and they made her afraid, new people and new places. Her mummy bought this little book to help to introduce her to the idea of play school before she went so she could prepare her.
This book cost £2.50 and it has 32 pages and is in hardback, as are all the Sarah Garland books we own. It is a lovely book to look at the pictures because it doesn't have very much text but the illustrations are so lovely and it gives the reader and their mummy or daddy something to talk about.It is more of a picture story book and is about a poor mother who is always a little bit disorganised and she has a little toddler and a doggie and she must get the toddler used to playgroup. The toddler goes and he loves it and he has lots of new fun and exciting activities to do while he is there and he makes lots of new friends and he likes it so much he wants to go back again.
This is a perfect little book for a child who might be afraid of experiencing playgroup or playschool for the first time and it is a reassurring little tale to read with your little ones.This would make a lovely gift for a little boy or equally a little girl and I recommend it to you.
