Goodmans DVD2150

Advantages: Cheap and complete. Everything in one box
Disadvantages: Not as good as sytems twice as much

...like a train spotting geek, no change their then). At that time, Goodmans were quality and at the forefront of the developing hi-fi market. This is how I remember them, at their best. Later I watching them struggle and finally be sold to a large electronics concern (name escapes me). They have since become synonymous with cheap, mass produced Stereos and TV’s and consequently I’ve had nothing Goodmans for years, but that was to change this Christmas when on a spur of the moment I went out and bought our ‘Home Cinema System’, we just wanted a better TV to watch the ‘Lord of the rings’ DVD on (see earlier review). Once I got to Comet, I found it wasn’t possible for me to leave without a surround sound system to (you know what us kids are like). Advantages: Compact, light, plays home-made disks
Disadvantages: If using battery-power, not long-lasting.

...In my home I have my main stereo downstairs. The trouble is, I often like listening to music at night before I go to bed. I did have a (really old) personal cd player, but I was sick of replacing the batteries. I went into Argos and spotted the Goodmans GPS222 on display, so I bought one. ~Design~ The Goodmans GPS222 is 13 inches long, 9 inches deep (at it's widest) and 6 inches tall. It weighs around 4lbs - not very heavy - but it might feel quite weighty if you were carrying it around for a while. As you can see from the picture the Goodmans GPS222 is quite modern looking and I was pleased with the design of it. The buttons are laid out symetrically on the top of the player, which makes everything easy to find, and makes it look nice too. ...ye i agree pretty much which the previous review. i have also had the GDB3, which was a good price but was ultimately crap. i'm just commenting to say that this is probably the best product goodmans have made as most of the other stuff i have used by goodmans is real poor quality. i had a good mans t.v and the picture started going pink after about two or three years of use this clearly one of worst lasting t.vs i have ever come across. i have a sony trinitron t.v also which is ten years old now which is far better then anything that can be made by goodmans. also i had a goodmans dvd player that didn't work as soon as i got it and had to wait a couple of weeks to reciveve i new one and i'm not sure the replacement isn't chewwing my films as it enters the player. so basically what i can tell you about the GDB6 is that it is the most...
