Advantages: Sleakness, Battery Life, Disadvantages: Easy Dentable and Scratched case,
...play films very well. Also, the Goodmans player is WIDESCREEN, which helps every DVD you play with this player retain a non-pixelated picture, and believe me, having WIDESCREEN is a MUST have feature when purchasing a portable DVD player!
Easy to use menus, chapter selections are made a breeze with the slim controller provided with the player. The only negative is that to rewind/fast forward through a film, you must use the controller, due to there not being a fast forward/rewind button on the actual player, and there is only a skip chapter button.
Also, the players silver outer case can be easily scratched/dented from even sitting on your lap! It comes with a hard case but it is not possible at all times to remember to use the player in the case.
The battery life of the product is also great, lasting over 2 hours and 30 minutes, just less...

Advantages: Cheapish Disadvantages: Cheesy and very unreliable
...I bought a Goodmans CD player previous to this which packed up after a week (held my CD and would not eject it) so I took it back and exchanged for this model which had mp3 facility. It worked OK for a few weeks although it played only SOME mp3 tracks and skipped others. Then it refused to play any discs at all, instead showing "ERROR 1" which the manual said was serious. I should have had more sense than to buy Goodmans because I bought one of their home hi-fi units which also stopped playing CDs after a short time. My advice - pay a bit extra for something reliable with a less cheesy reputation. You can get good deals on much superior merchandise. Steer clear of Goodmans tinpot junk....

Advantages: works and reliable Disadvantages: made by Goodmans
...ye i agree pretty much which the previous review. i have also had the GDB3, which was a good price but was ultimately crap. i'm just commenting to say that this is probably the best product goodmans have made as most of the other stuff i have used by goodmans is real poor quality. i had a good mans t.v and the picture started going pink after about two or three years of use this clearly one of worst lasting t.vs i have ever come across. i have a sony trinitron t.v also which is ten years old now which is far better then anything that can be made by goodmans. also i had a goodmans dvd player that didn't work as soon as i got it and had to wait a couple of weeks to reciveve i new one and i'm not sure the replacement isn't chewwing my films as it enters the player. so basically what i can tell you about the GDB6 is that it is the most...

I purchased this based on price. Big mistake! While it does have alot of features including Freeview, the sound quality is awful if you connect all the speakers. Basically if you connect the subwoofer it creates a buzzing sound that is very intrusive ant more
