~Features~
-------------

Hi. It's been great so far to help people and share information. I am sure you have noticed that Video is on the way out. Living in London England means there are plenty of choices as where I can get prerecorded film entertainment or video/DVD's. One noticed that my local video libraries had done away with video altogeather. So a DVD was needed the cheapest possible and smallest should do the job. I was still confused about what to buy. I know you must be laughing just go to Currys, Tesco or Dixons. Anyway, I was little confused also because I have not bought a DVD player ever before.

The Sony Home cinema is the most expensive my mum has one of these very expensive machines she bought it some years ago it is the most fasionable end of the market with a choice of venue effects i.e concert hall however it is not for me. I know what I exactly required when I looked in to my Littlewoods Catalogue. Hence, I am found a simple DVD and decided to buy this one and only this one. It's a Goodmans GDVD134.

~The Look~
-------------

It's a silver metal body with silver remote with blue buttons on the remote and blue display screen on the DVD. I liked that clearly. It's got 12 buttons on the front of the DVD, on-off, stop, ff,rew.etc.

The remote is grey silver with the flexibility of extra features that the machine itself does not have. It's also got zoom, title, menu, set up, sub title features. This is very useful not only do you control from your chair but you have added control. It can be streatch up to the 2O ft of my good but must be point at the DVD to work at all.

Again, the extra feature on the remote are all you could want some I never use like the change from PAL to NTSC feature. The DVD sit on feet made of soft rubber and so will not scratch a table it looks like it is durable.

~Weight~
-------------

As for the weight it is not going to be a concern for any, I could tell you that, it's very lite comparable to any other companies models and same company with different products. The weight comes in as Net 2.5 Kg, and so light anyone can move it. It could fit into a box about 18" square.

It's so very light.

~Price~
-------------

About the price it is not anything to be concerned about, I got it as the catalogue price had a special offer it is something very much dependent on different retailers but I bought it with GHC35 Home cinema system and it was £140.

~Ease of Use~
-------------

It's has a very simple to use. That's a good point compared to some. It has one scart socket two external speaker plug holes right & left and a plug for a computer to be connected I have never used.

Another point is the easefullness of putting the DVD inside they slide onto a tray. The tray rolls back inside when a button is pushed.

~Consumable~
-------------

As it's highly economic to buy the fact is that I have had it for two years now it has lasted me this time with no problems at all. Lots of factors are involved in this scenario it has a low watt motor so is using the power of 1light bulb when it is on not a lot of power to use but making green house gas.

~Durability~
-------------

It's made from strong plastic with bits of metal and flexible plastic rubber mixture on the remote so it is highly durable and I have tested this many times while dropping the remote. While doing some cleaning I knocked the scart lead it did not work after wards but I called the repair shop then repired it my self when fiddling with it so it does not involve any problems. Nothing happened much it is nothing re-markable.

~Advantages~
-------------

It picture quality and feature are excellent for my limited needs no 'WOW' factor but the sould has a 'WOW' factor and can recommend the extra feature of cinema sound. It is so clear and bright to watch after the video I threw my video in the bin. So handy, so useful I can play music CD's on it as well I am not at all able to complain about anything. It's is then highly durable and economic to use. I do not know whereit is made can't see anything to tell me either.

~Disadvantages~
-------------

As it does not record that is a problem other wise not anything yet of course I can use my computer to record anything I want !

~Overall~
-------------

I am strongly recommending this product not as I found this as best in the market but because it has served my needs well.
