Goodmans GDVD157

...I needed a new dvd player and decided to go to a well know stockist of quite a few brands. Untimately I was looking to keep the cost down, somthing that has all the toys with a fraction of the cost. The unit in the end was purchased from Currys. I came accross a goodmans GDVD157, on first view the unit looked modern, I liked the general look of it. The price was £36.99, which is a very good price for a good DVD player. I liked the fact that it was CD, CDRW, MPEG, JPEG, and VCD compatible. One feature I liked about this unit is that you can play your downloaded pictures from your computer, save them to disc and play them on your dvd player. it plays them as a slideshow, holding each picture for a few seconds, then moving on to the next one. ...ye i agree pretty much which the previous review. i have also had the GDB3, which was a good price but was ultimately crap. i'm just commenting to say that this is probably the best product goodmans have made as most of the other stuff i have used by goodmans is real poor quality. i had a good mans t.v and the picture started going pink after about two or three years of use this clearly one of worst lasting t.vs i have ever come across. i have a sony trinitron t.v also which is ten years old now which is far better then anything that can be made by goodmans. also i had a goodmans dvd player that didn't work as soon as i got it and had to wait a couple of weeks to reciveve i new one and i'm not sure the replacement isn't chewwing my films as it enters the player. so basically what i can tell you about the GDB6 is that it is the most... Advantages: No cutting, Easy installation
Disadvantages: Try to fix them as they can slide

...Goodmans Ported Speakers, I added these to my car as I had no room to cut interior pannels, or cut into the back shelf. At first I didnt really think these would be of any good or use. To my surprise they where responsive and the quality of sound was excellent. There was no installation and they looked clean and tidy, an excellent buy for the price!, to wire them to the car and to the stereo took about 30 mins. For anybody who doesnt really want to cut the panels or pay anyone to install them, they are perfect. If your stereo can handle more than two speakers then two sets of these would more than happily do the job.... Read review
