I have found a real bargain and would like to share it with all of my fellow Ciao members so read on and then get out there and snap one of these portable DVD players up before they are all gone. I was in Tesco doing my usual tour of the electrical department when I noticed a stack of portable DVD players priced up at only £49.97 and as I moved closer I was very surprised to notice that this was the price and they were Goodmans Portable DVD players so a real bargain. I grabbed two one for each of my older kid's and went to the till still not quiet believing the price until I had paid and was walking out of the store.

I set about showing my daughter how to operate it and set it all up for her. When we put the first DVD in I was shocked at the quality of picture only let down slightly by the sound being quiet low this was easily sorted by plugging in some headphones. The unit itself seemed to be very light unless you have the attachable battery on and one thing I would say is it didn't seem very sturdy but then again such things are delicate anyway and not meant for bashing about. I was very impressed overall with the sheer quality for price and am going back tonight to hopefully get another one for my niece as a birthday present.

Included in the box was not only the DVD player but a power supply unit for plugging in whilst near a socket and for using whilst in the car was a cigarette lighter socket adapter. The bag that it comes in is very smart and has a pocket for the ultra slim credit card style remote control (Batteries also supplied) and also doubles up as a headrest holder for the player whilst in the car. There was also the cables for connecting the player to a TV for using as a standard DVD player. Then I realized that not only did it play DVD's but also music CD's and Picture CD's that are displayed on the screen great for taking around the kid's nan's house as she does not own a PC.

I have since researched the internet prices for this DVD player and the cheapest other than Tesco is £79.95 so jump on board and get yourself one or more if you are like me as any child would love these as a present. I paid only £49.97 and if your quick you may get one as well I did not notice how long the offer would be on for sorry.

I could not rate this portable DVD player more highly this is of course in context to price there are better machines out there but you will pay through the nose for them. This does everything you need it to and I believe although it's locked to UK or region 2 discs it can be unlocked using a code available in many chat forums over the internet to allow it to be region free. At this price you just can't go wrong especially as you have a warranty and the option to take it back to a reliable retailer such as Tesco should anything go wrong.
On top of all this you will get 50 club card points as well so an added bonus lol. Don't miss out get out there now while they still have stock I have checked and the offer seems to be nationwide at the moment. I hope this has been helpful and I have given you enough of an early warning.
