Cheap for portable DAB, but sound and build quality is poor. 10/11/2011

Advantages Very cheap portable DAB for good signal areas.
Disadvantages Sound, build quality and battery life are all atrocious.

When I saw the picture and specs, I assumed this was the guts of the Technika DAB-108P (no longer sold) in a different shell. With my Technika having died after 2 years of good service, I thought at 50% lower price I was onto a winner. The buttons were the same layout, the features and user guide seemed identical. That's where the similarity ends, I'm afraid. The build quality is poor, the buttons are wobbly and the sound is atrocious, no matter what EQ you set it to. I've got a pair of Sennheisser CX-300 II headphones which make the cheapest mobile sound good, but somehow this Goodmans ... more
