...I bought the goodmans G-shot 3020 on the way to the airport as we were setting off for a recent holiday, as we knew we would need a means of recording the unforgettable events, and our old kodak 35mm was really starting to look tired... ...I called into TJ Hughes with a little under an hour to spare before we had to be at the airport, with the intention of buying a stock of disposable 35mm cameras for £5 each (I was going to buy 10 of them, to keep us going) however I was somewhat distraught to discover that they had sold out - However the assistant recommended that I bought a digital camera from the small range they had on offer and a memory card to store more photo's. Advantages: Easy to use, producing good quality photographs
Disadvantages: Hige drain battery use, extra memory is a must.

...up to 35 low resolution photographs and a 60 second movie clip, with sound of course… Other functions include a very useful preset mode with auto focus, and a 10 second self-timer function. There are both inbuilt flash and microphone and a 3x optical zoom enhanced by a further 3x digital zoom. To view photos the 3020z offers a 1.5TFT screen with digital zoom and a clear, and accurate, representation of the actual photograph… Oh dear, technical detail acting like a well sung lullaby? Not to worry, I’ll cut to the chase, the Goodmans G-SHOT 3020z, is an ideal purchase for anyone wanting a simple, no-nonsense camera for daily use, and is now part of our family. Advantages: Lightweight, good quality photos, good photo-editing software included
Disadvantages: Battery life, ugly-ish, poor video quality.

...and the picture quality is superior to the G-Shot anyway (only by 0.1mil pixels though - I think!). The G-Shot doesn't have a decent photo-editor bundled with it but this can be used as a webcam on MSN messenger, which is more than can be said for the Jenoptik. Overall this camera is a good buy and I would recommend it over the Goodmans for its ease of use and its size - or the sheer lack of it. Oh and one more thing - when I bought my Jenoptik JD 3.3 I had to convert it from some foreign language using the menu which was a bit dodgy! I do own both of the cameras mentioned here by the way!
