Good but could have been better
Review of Gothic (PC) by SirLink

Advantages: Fascinating plot and atmosphere will have you hooked straight away
Disadvantages: Dodgy gameplay and poor interface

...A third-person RPG with RTS elements in another genre-blending adventure? Yep — and not a bad one, either. Gothic isn’t a straightforward action game; it’s a genuine RPG packed with tons of action. The initial storyline is surprisingly similar to the original Ultima Underworld. You’re a convict thrown into a mountainside labor prison that’s magically sealed from the outside world. It’s a grim place run by the prisoners in tight hierarchies, where the choices you make and the risks you take determine which gang you join, what skills you learn, and your friends and enemies. Gothic’s dialogue is gritty and its voiceovers convincing. Praise goes as well to the game’s environment. There’s some clipping in the graphics, but the terrain is detailed and varied. Day and night bring out different predators and people. Were Gothic as good... Read review

Sims go Universal..ity.. yeh....
Review of The Sims 2 University (PC) by BrotherOfSwine

Advantages: great game, improves original sims 2
Disadvantages: none really

...The Sims 2 University is the first expansion pack to the bestselling Sims 2 PC game, the sequal to the world famous The Sims. This expansion pack allows you to play the Sims 2 game with added features and items, which the pack adds on. For example: As well as having baby, toddler, child, teen, adult and elderly sims, you now have the age group young adult when teens go to university before becoming adults. Here they study a major found in the the real world (psychology, drama etc) and complete assignments, write term papers and do exams in order to get their diploma after four 'years' of university. Adult sims who have been to university and have a diploma have access to four new career tracks that uneducated sims cannot join, for example the paranormal career track. They also find it easier to get promoted from the early career... Read review

A simple Game but its past its sellby date
Review of Diablo (PC) by Kiesmith1983

Advantages: Good multiplayer
Disadvantages: bad graphics

...Diablo invites you to enter a world of dark gothic fantasy. Play as a brave Warrior, cunning Rogue, or mysterious Sorcerer. As you venture deeper into the labyrinth, you'll discover weapons, armor, and magical treasures, and develop your character's skills and abilities. You might also want to bring a friend or two to help... Built in support for Battle.net, as well as modem, serial, and network play, insures that you'll never have to go in alone. The gameplay's strength is in its simplicity and, thankfully, the RPG side of the game isn't overendowed with superfluous statistics. Rather, Blizzard's masterpiece is perfectly balanced blend of slashing and hacking whilst retaining the role playing elements that gamers were expecting. Brilliant in multiplayer mode thanks to Battle.Net, Blizzard's free internet based service.... Read review
