Advantages: Cheaper than hiring a sleep hypnotist , and just as effective Disadvantages: Only the non spinning lamb mobile

This is like a fairy godmother in swing format. Secure 5 point harness clicked closed - check, vibrating seat on - check, soothing music choice selection - check, and swing on - check . That's it - game over - they just slowly succumb, the cries dying away, the eyes slowly closing and generally within less than 3 minutes (on average, I have found) baby is asleep. It's comfy in there, (well padded and good headrest) and secure so he can be left swinging and sleeping, or transferred to cot ( although this doesn't always work, and you have to go back through the swinging cycle again!!)
I put this as my best first equal buy (along with Jumperoo). This is best for those times when it appears there is nothing that will make baby go to sleep. I have used this from about 2 months as it goes nearly flat, which coupled with the headrest means they don't need full head/neck control. The combination of the vibrating seat with the relaxing noises (bird noises and other options) or music, just sends them off to sleep. Above their heads are three furry lambs going round on a mobile, and in front is a play tray with a zebra and giraffe. The play tray toys are fairly basic and so far have held little interest, (but then the purpose is to get him to sleep so this isn't really an issue).
The only negative I found was the mobile. This isn't powered separately, it somehow is supposed to turn based on the motion of the swing. Great battery saving idea, but in reality it didn't work unless in exactly the right position (and this is a trial and error thing), and the swing was on maximum setting (which was very swingy indeed for a small baby).
Battery powered and you have to be careful not to leave the vibrating seat on (it's very easy to do as it's not very noisy, so you turn the rest off and forget the separate switch at the base of the chair for this).
If I was allocating marks out of ten, I would deduct marks for the mobile, but even still overall I would give this 9/10 as everything else about this is brilliant. And a work of genius when all else has failed and a happy sleeping silence ensues!
Advantages: Keeps baby occupied mentally & physically, anything making baby THIS happy is worth every penny! Disadvantages: Could do with a poo alert alarm!! Also, it is fairly large.
Utterly brilliant - and without doubt the best baby product I have purchased so far. (First equal with the GracoSilhouettebabyswing - instant sleep resolution system - review coming shortly!!)
This blows the door bouncy jobs into touch, ( I have one as well of the Lindam variety - it's good but this is better) as it allows the bouncing and has a massive range of toys and distractions.. a spinning sun, a peeking tiger, a spinning colour wheel, a crocodile in a spinning case with beads, and an elephant and monkey which make relevant noises and another spinny thing - plus two volume settings of quite good 'bouncing' music, with intermittant elephant and monkey noises. The whole thing is very interactive.
The seat is designed to look like a croc or frog (not sure which) with a nice squashy back to make it comfy for baby. It can spin ...
