My daughter bought this pram for her eldest child. We saw it in Argos half price and bought it when she was only a few months pregnant. After some research we found that if we bought the matching car seat we could turn this into a travel system, this was almost six years ago and these days I think most of these come as a travel system as standard.
I was surprised to find that it was lightweight and easy to push, even though it looks quite bulky. We used this in town and over quite rough terrain with no difficulty at all. The wheels are quite a bit larger than the standard buggy and the front ones swivel or can be locked. The car seat is easy to fit into the car and clicks onto the base easily.
Our grandaughter liked her car seat so much she would cry whenever we took her out so she spent a lot of her first nine months in it! The rocking feature is great, the seat doubles up as a rocker and if you move the handle around it locks to a usefull chair for feeding. A great idea would be to have a clip on tray so that the chair could be used as a low feeding chair, as my grandaughter used hers to sit in long after it was suitable as a car seat.
The pram itself is easily folded with two hands, not one as its claimed. In the UK we have safety standards that are way beyond the rest of the world, and there is an extra safety catch to pull up as you turn the handle and push down. The pram has a catch to keep it folded and a stand to rest the folded pram on so that the plastic parts dont get scuffed on the ground.
The lie back has four positions is easily opperated with one hand. Also a nice feature is that when the pram is fully lying down a little fabric hood pulls up around the top making it more snug. Sitting up the child looks quite high up and comfortable. The parent tray at the back is very usefull for car keys and drinks. The huge shopping basket holds tons of shopping.
The newer version our other daughter has is very similar with a few extras. A clock and temp guide on the parent handle, clock a good idea for checking car park time. A carrycot insert for the pram part, a nice touch but rarely used as small baby was usually in car seat. A comfy boot cover for car seat, a realy good idea and useful for a winter baby. A car seat base, fab, such a great idea, so easy click in and out.
Although large looking this pram folded up and fit into our corsa, not much room for anything else but it fit. My daughter used this pram until our grandaughter was walking, around three years. Admittedly it was a little loose and wobbily by then but it was used a lot. The fabric looked like brand new and the tyres still had plenty of tread on them. The seat pad comes out for washing and there are no fabric bumper bars to get grubby. The rest of the covers are sponge washable and I was able to unscrew all the covers on several occasions and put the whole lot through the wash (I used to be a repair agent for macleren).

~**~ Graco Sterling Travel System ~**~
After hours of searching the Internet for the right pram, both my partner and I decided that the Graco Sterling Travel System was the one we wanted.
This travel system is suitable from birth - to around 3 years. Comes complete with car seat, cosy toes, rain cover and instruction manual. There's also an auto base available at an extra cost. I think if you buy the auto base with the travel system you'll get ... ...travel system, the base would cost £33.99
We bought our Travel system off eBay. We managed to get a really good price. Someone was selling their brand new Sterling Travel system as an unwanted gift, so we got it for £130 Inc P+P. Prices vary for this travel system, depending on what you have with it. Prices range from £169.99 - £300
When it arrived I had to put it together, by this, I mean the wheels weren't intact. How to do this was explained ...

Advantages: Lightweight and very easy to use Disadvantages: Rain cover only fits properly without the car seat on
...This was for a Graco Sterling Travel System. We paid around £170. Just before Ben was due I easily fitted the car seat base into my Corsa and was pleased that it didn't move at all once the seat belt was in place. Since I have been ferrying Ben around he's been in and out of the car seat and the car seat has been in and out of the car (on the fitted base). It certainly makes car journeys VERY easy. The pushchair part is very lightweight and easy ... ...'up' position the car seat fits onto the pushchair just as easily as it fits in the car. We have only used the actual pushchair a couple of times so far but Ben seems to like it and as the back goes down flat he can have a good comfortable sleep.
The only negative point I have is that the rain cover only fits on WITHOUT the car seat on. You can put it over the whole travelsystem but doesn't fit very well. ...

Advantages: Good package, thoughtful handy gadgets Disadvantages: Squeaky wheels, getting down
Having used the Sterling for my daughter for the past 3 months, I think that it was a good first choice.
The package offered by ToysRUs inlcuded raincover, car base, cosytoes & matching bag for less than 200pounds. The fabric is navy with beige check & though I worried that it would be difficult to keep clean, we have had no problems.
THe car seat is getting very heavy now that she weighs over 14lbs, but has been very handy with the car base that ... ...instructions however, wheich I would have liked. THe sunshade on the car seat is very useful.
THe temerature guage on the parent tray is usualy wrong (it said 35 degrees the other day!) but the clock is handy.
THe pushchair seat seems comfy though the straps are still a bit too big & I would have preferred to have them shorter so I could have used the pushchair alone sooner (as it is better for long walks than putting the car seat in)
The shopping ...

Advantages: light weight, easy to steer Disadvantages: folding mechanism weak
We purchased this travel system for the birth of our baby who arrived a month early in may.
After seven months of use I am very disappointed to say that the back chassis is wobbly and the wheels look like they are coming loose, also that the folding mechanism (despite not being folded that often) is very loose and is starting to pull apart when the pushchair is in use.
We were also disappointed that our child despite being premature didn't fit ... ...being about 4 months of age.
On a more positive note the package we bought we felt was value for money and graco's customer services were fabtastic in trying to help us to rectify the problems we had (unlike toys r us were we bought the pushchair).
I beleive we just had a 'bad one' as relatives have had the same pushchair and ha no problems. ...
