Advantages: Good sound, long lead, mini-jack and 1/4 inch jack provided. Disadvantages: Some may find the 'on ear' fit difficult at first.
In the interests of disclosure, I used to sell these products!
These are great headphones with Grado's unique vintage styling. These are the second headphone up the range and a clearly noticable improvement from the entry level (they use better wiring & technically superior, closer matched drivers). The jump up to the next headphone in the series (SR125) does not give anywhere near the same return for your money as the jump from SR60 to SR80. So in this respect at least, the extra money is well worth it. (I always felt that you needed to jump up 2 models above the SR80 to get a similar jump in quality).
They have a long lead as standard and come with mini-jack plug (for portable kit) and an adaptor to fit standard 1/4 inch jacks on Hi-Fi kit.
So what do they do well? Good bass extension, good detail in the mid range and nicely ...

Advantages: Quality of sound and vintage styling Disadvantages: maybe the size also hurt my ears until bedded in
Bought for me as a gift from my Father!
An american headphone with a vintage style, I have the sr80 models and I am very impressed with the quality.
I use these headphones mainly with my ipod, they are very good at cancelling out all background noise and excellent at keeping my ears warm on a cold winter morning!
As for sound they are excellent, far better than the sennheiser`s that i had before. They don`t need to be turned up to full like most cheap headphones which causes them to distaught and pop. The depth of the bass and the clarity of the vocals is amazing. One of the best thought out features is extremely long cable allowing you to dance freely at the bustop!! it has a small headphone socket as well as the larger jack plug. If your in the market for a nice set of headphones and not worried about the size then ...

Advantages: Good sound quality for price, sturdy, long cable length Disadvantages: Can be uncomfortable over long periods of use, not exactly small
For their price the SR60 are a great pair of headphones. Why am I saying this? Well until I brought them I was used to my headphones breaking within three to six months down the line. I wouldn't say it's the headphones fault. As with everything you pay for what your get, so if you fork out £20 for a pair of ear buds then don't expect them to last the year. Though I also managed to pick up my pair for the bargin price of £60 due to last years sales.
So far I've had my pair for close to eight months and I haven't had much to complain about. In fact, quiet the opposite. They have a solid build quality with a thick, well protected jack cable, which means the the chances of a lose or broken wire causing sound in one or both ears to cut falls dramatically. Even more impressive is that the Grado provide a year long guarantee ...
