Yamaha SR125

Advantages: Comforable, light on fuel, easy to repair
Disadvantages: Sluggish on cornering

The Yamaha SR125 is a small, custom-style bike. Being 5'3", it was a good choice for my first bike. It's reliable and easy to ride. Over the 5 years that I owned one, all I needed to do was give it an annual service, apart from topping up the oil and replacing the headlight bulb. The bulb needed replacing, on average, about once a year. It uses the same 12v type as a scooter so there was no lack of supply. ( Scooter shops seemed to offer it cheaper than dedicated motorbike shops). The other cosmetic items that occaisionally needed replacing were the clutch and brake handles. Also pretty inexpensive, about £12, depending on where you buy from. The rear brake is a drum brake which is quite old-fashioned now, but easy enough to work with. The petrol consumption is very good. I rode from South London (Waterloo) to North London ...

Review of Yamaha SR125

Good 'bang-for-the-buck' from Grado headphones.

Advantages: Good sound, long lead, mini-jack and 1/4 inch jack provided.
Disadvantages: Some may find the 'on ear' fit difficult at first.

In the interests of disclosure, I used to sell these products! These are great headphones with Grado's unique vintage styling. These are the second headphone up the range and a clearly noticable improvement from the entry level (they use better wiring & technically superior, closer matched drivers). The jump up to the next headphone in the series (SR125) does not give anywhere near the same return for your money as the jump from SR60 to SR80. So in this respect at least, the extra money is well worth it. (I always felt that you needed to jump up 2 models above the SR80 to get a similar jump in quality). They have a long lead as standard and come with mini-jack plug (for portable kit) and an adaptor to fit standard 1/4 inch jacks on Hi-Fi kit. So what do they do well? Good bass extension, good detail in the mid range and nicely ...

Review of Grado SR80

Grado SR80 Headphones

Advantages: Quality of sound and vintage styling
Disadvantages: maybe the size also hurt my ears until bedded in

Bought for me as a gift from my Father! An american headphone with a vintage style, I have the sr80 models and I am very impressed with the quality. I use these headphones mainly with my ipod, they are very good at cancelling out all background noise and excellent at keeping my ears warm on a cold winter morning! As for sound they are excellent, far better than the sennheiser`s that i had before. They don`t need to be turned up to full like most cheap headphones which causes them to distaught and pop. The depth of the bass and the clarity of the vocals is amazing. One of the best thought out features is extremely long cable allowing you to dance freely at the bustop!! it has a small headphone socket as well as the larger jack plug. If your in the market for a nice set of headphones and not worried about the size then ...
