From the offset Having bought a PS3 quite late on after its initial release I was thinking of ‘must have’ games to own and GT5: Prologue has to be one of them when it comes to driving simulators. I tried searching for more recent driving simulatiors although it appeared to me that others lacked that ‘va va voom’ and quickly got the impression that there was nothing but GT5: Prologue, as this was and has been the benchmark for driving simulators. By the time I bought my copy GT5: Prologue had gone Platinum. Price I bought my copy for £10 which makes this outstanding value! General It is worth ... more

Advantages Advantages Great Visuals, Gameplay and Features

Disadvantages Disadvantages No Damage, Online Player Tend To Cheat

Gran turismo is a great taste of the full upcoming game in 2009. The game should not be thought of as a demo but as a full game. The game has 80 cars 16 tracks and full 16 player multiplayer in full 1080p HD. The Gran turismo series has always been known to provide pure realistic driving equal to the real thing. What Features Are In the Game? The game has lots of features for example; 80 real licenced cars from over 30 manufacturers includin newcomer Ferrari. The game also has news which keeps you updated with the gran turismo community. Also provided is a kind of channel which shows car ... more

    Advantages Advantages great graphics

    Disadvantages Disadvantages very limited gameplay

This is the new standard of racing, with its amazing standard of graphics creating a resolution of 1080p/i.There are over 70 cars to choose from. The only problem is, is that the game is lacking in racing tracks there are only six but they are so gripping you can not get bored of them. If you want to play this game with a friend in your own home don't be put of by the box only saying it's a one player game there is a 2p battle option. Though this game is not the full game it is not a disappointment. With this game Gran Turismo have made the cars as realistic as possible. Not only have they ... more

Advantages Advantages amazing graphics, online play, true racing experience

Disadvantages Disadvantages repetitive, poor online options, glorified demo

Before i start please bare in mind this is a just glorified demo of not a full game, so dont expect the world! I picked up a copy of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue on release day after being a loyal fan of the series and blown away by the level of detail gone into the game. With 4 different classes to try and pass there is plenty to keep you occupied with. Im a fan of racing games and generaly race in the view inside the car and the detail of normal is minimal but GT5 prollouge take it to the next level. You can clearly see the time and effort put into making the cars as accurate as they could in and ... more

Advantages Advantages Excellent photo-realistic 1080p 60fps graphics, lots of good racing fun, great physics, decent price

Disadvantages Disadvantages Limited car and track selection, online play still needs work, car damage still not included

I pre-oredered my copy of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue a few weeks back and got it in the post about 5 days before writing this review. So I have had about 5 days of experience with this game. First off, the game, like some other PlayStation 3 games, requires an install process, at about 10 minutes long it is kinda annoying, but the one thing you'll notice is that the game is pretty snappy between loading screens, so I guess it's an advantage. Once you finally install it and boot it up, you have to get yourself a car with a budget (I think it's around 35,000 Cr.). Once you have your car you can ... more
