Welcome to the 21st century; well perhaps not as you don’t see many people running down pedestrians and shooting gang members everyday but GTA 3 has all you want to create havoc.
Due to the big hit of GTA on the Playstation, (and some trouble in the papers for being too violent) it managed to be a great game, from the bird’s eye view to the gta 3 multiple views like 3rd person the gta series has changed the way gamers think.
Again like the GTA3 predecessor the aim is to finish jobs for different gang members like the mafia for example, stealing cars and simply plain killing people. There is actually a plot that develops and reasons why all these gangs are constantly trying to kill you. Also, the leaders of the gangs have different personalities and voices that are quite realistic and make the game more enjoyable to play.
Throughout the three Islands in Liberty City (the city in which you play the game) cars are needed to get around, this therefore means that car jacking is the means of acquiring cars. From fish vans to sleek convertibles, the game offers an extreme variety of different cars. These include, police cars, taxis, ambulances, fire trucks, FBI cars vans and limos. There are also military vehicles such as the barracks OL and the tank. As for other cars such as sporty ones, Rockstar have not bought licenses to use real car names hence a lot of strange names like Banshee and Perennial. Each car has different driving capabilities, for example, the sports cars are fast but hard to control. The acceleration varies between the sports cars to make this game more fun because you are always searching for the best sports cars to drive around with and to get away from the cops.
There are 6 different stages of police brutality and which forces are brought in to stop you. This is indicated at the top of your screen as stars so you always know what forces are after you. To acquire these stars, a serious amount of crime must be committed. Firstly, you have the cops allowed to hit you but not allowed to use firearms. Next of all they have two in each car and can draw there guns on you. Thirdly, helicopters come in to search and destroy. With four stars, the swat teams arrive. With five the feds and finally the army are sent in with tanks!!!!!!
A nice feature about this game is the vigilante missions. This allows you to drive in cop cars, which allows you to stop other criminals. Also you can put out fires in the fire truck and take people to hospital in ambulances.
The graphics are on the whole pretty good through the game. Although not keeping up quite with today’s modern standards, it is still very playable and the graphics are generally very good.
There are a variety of different radio stations available, which include original songs and a chat show that is very humourous to listen to. There is also a feature that lets you add MP3 files to the game, which allows you to listen to your own music.
So in conclusion GTA3 is a great game for people who like a bit of action, violence and a great driving game all in one, I advise that you get this.
Advantages: A lot of fun, great graphics and sound Disadvantages: Will be societies ultimate ruin (according to the Daily Mail, lol)

Grand Theft Auto 3, the third game in the series, which they tried to ban, is the first game in the crime series to be in full 3D. The main plot of the game is that you are a wannabe gangster making your way up the crime scene by doing jobs for gangsters that are much higher up the hierarchy than you. In order to complete the jobs, you have to complete objectives such as, going on massacres, stealing cars, rigging cars up ... ...picking up pages of a 'Specialist' Porn magazine whilst driving in a Van for one Mexican gangster…. WHAT OPPOSITION DOES A GANGSTER HAVE? You don't get the whole City to yourself you know. Along with all the ordinary pedestrians and drivers, there are people who don't like you very much and who take great pleasure in trying to kill you whenever you go near them or in their territory. These include, the ...

Advantages: Great fun, get to drive a tank :) and cool radio stations Disadvantages: Crap character, high system specs and gets very difficult
The original GTA was a huge hit on the playstation. Gamers loved it for its wanton violence, and the feeling of freedom gained from roaming around a living city complete with pedestrians, traffic and police. This was a game where you felt as though you could do whatever you wanted. If you wanted a car, you stole it. If you wanted to kill unarmed pedestrians, you could. If you felt like driving around slowly, stopping at red lights and obeying traffic ... ...its success was that it made the gamer feel as though they were in control, rather than following a set path.
Then came GTA II, which was not a bad game and yet never enjoyed the success of its predecessor. This was probably because it made few improvements on the first game, and introduced the gang respect system, which in practical terms meant lots of driving about, trying to earn enough respect to actually qualify for missions: a truly idiotic ...

...would have to be the Grand Theft Auto series from Rockstar. Not only does the series allow for car theft, rioting and violent killings, it encourages it also!
However this was far less effective in GTA1 and 2, purely everything everything was seen from above rather than in a 3rd person perspective due to the fully bird's eye camera view given with 2D rendering. After a jail break, both you and a partner are required to get into some street clothes and hit the town. Almost straight away the whole gangster theme begins, with job offerings and tasks a plenty. The job offerings are not required, infact you go about them in your own free will, but if you want to make any meaningful progress in the game your best choice is to complete them. The ...

...When the original GTA ( Grand Theft Auto ) came out I turned my nose up at it like a cat who has been used to being fed Kitekat being suddenly confronted with Kwik Saves own brand of cat food.
When the second incarnation ( okay that wasn’t meant either … in-car-nation … damn what’s happening to me today ) of GTA hit the shelves I did a great job of pretending that it didn’t exist even though my friends raved on and on and on about it.
=[ Note to ... ...abuse !! ]=
When the third GTA game was released I pretended to be deaf so I couldn’t hear them go on about it and when that didn’t work I faked my own death ( you should have been there … it was a lovely funeral !! ).
Then a couple of months back I was sitting in my other room. A friend was crashing at mine and he had his PC with him. We chatted as he played GTA and during our conversation in which I had to explain my sudden, though not unexpected ...

...re-ignites the argument. The original Grand Theft Auto (GTA) was one such game, a top down (or birds eye view, if you prefer) of your character going around the city, performing missions for some top ranked gangsters and earning some cash into the bargain. It doesn’t sound too bad, but when the missions are stealing, killing and general mischief, all of a sudden Mr and Mrs Smith don’t want little Johnny playing on his PC or Playstation any longer. ... ...of Max Clifford, a publicist who managed to get tabloid coverage of the game, it’s doubtful whether anyone outside the gaming circle would really have noticed the game with high levels of violence and dubious moral fibre. That said, it was still a terribly fun game to play, and the gamers cried out for more.
They got it as well – an add on pack called GTA: London 1969 which “recreated” London and used British cars with all the usual GTA shenanigans, ...

It's raining, you have to walk twenty minutes back home and you've had a stressful day - just your average day in this thing we call life right? Well if all of that's getting you down, how about a doing a good ol' fashioned drive by? Steal a police car? What about mowing down some drug pushers with a low-rider, destroying the product and blowing up their factory? If any of you have done these things in real life, you're probably reading this from prison. However, a much safer and legal way to do these things is to experience the overwhelming carnage and realistic sub-culture that is Gta: San Andreas.
In brief, San Andreas is the 3rd and probably last reincarnation of the original GrandTheftAuto series (for non next-generation consoles) that was a cult hit on the PC. Whereas the jump to 3D for the Playstation 2 wowed everybody in ...

Yesterday evening I visited Electronics Boutique (a computer games shop) to collect a game that I had reserved, as the game was in very high demand and had sold out of copies everywhere!
I made my purchase and was looked upon with such envy by youngsters under the age of 18 who were not allowed to buy this game as it had been given an 18 rating by ELSPA - (I dunno what this stands for, but its the people who regulate how old you have to be to watch/buy certain types of computer games).
The game in question is GrandTheftAuto3 on Playstation 2.
This game is the third and latest in a series based on stealing cars, obtaining weapons, driving round and completing missions given to you by various 'gangster/underworld criminal' types.
It's release is sure to cause much controversy and will no doubt have calls for it to be banned ...
Advantages: Great all-round game that's almost perfect. Disadvantages: It ends.
For those who have played GTA3 on the PC:
GrandTheftAuto: Vice City is a lesson in how to take a game which is already bordering on genius and improving it. If you enjoyed GTA3, then you will love GrandTheftAuto: Vice City. Go and buy it now. No excuses.
For those who have not played GTA3 on the PC:
Vice City is a game played in the third person perspective (rather like Tomb Raider). In this game, you play an ex-convict called Tommy Vercetti (voiced by Ray Liotta) who is just out of prison and has been sent to Vice City (i.e. Miami) by his 'boss' to expand their operation down there. However, your very first drug deal is ambushed by persons unknown and only you, your lawyer and one of the other people with whom you were dealing manage to escape.
You're obviously annoyed at being taken in, your boss in Liberty City wants ...
